We would like to be as factual as possible so people can then decide for themselves. We are in our 60's & stayed for two weeks in what is called a deluxe marine view room. We booked online for $72 Cad a day. We were given a good room & view but decided to upgrade to a better view for an additional $20 a day( in retrospect we didn't really need to.) This rate included a buffet breakfast that includes coffee, juices, assorted fresh fruits, cottage cheese, breads, cereals, pancakes, seven choices of hot dishes including scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes and several Mexican specialty dishes and a person who will cook omelets etc. Breakfast is served in a beautiful setting overlooking the Marina. Our room was large and tastefully decorated with a big closet, air conditioning, an overhead fan and a balcony. We seldom used the AC or fan, just opened the balcony door. The room was naturally cool even though it was between 80"F/25"C and 90"F/30"C each day. Our King bed had a comfy mattress and nice quality sheets although flat pillows. The bathroom was all tile, the shower large, with a large, gentle shower head & always hot water. Everything was cleaned thoroughly everyday including the floors washed. We saw staff cleaning the public areas of the hotel, washing patios, walls, baseboards, windows etc. daily. There were no insects. There is a coffee maker and you are supplied with styrofoam cups and single portion coffee & bottled water etc. So no coffeepot is needed. The staff in all the hotel were very efficient and friendly and especially attentive in the restaurant. The pool is in a good location overlooking the Marina on the 2nd floor and open to the sun - the water is about 78 "F( I hate cold water & I was able to get in). It has towels, a masseuse, a bar with a snack menu, and drinks are 2@ $4. The staff said the pool will be renovated in June 2012. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the boardwalk that surrounds the bay/marina. It is lined with restaurants, bars, excursions and shops. It is also about a 2 or 3 block walk to the fancier but resonably priced restaurants, jewellery stores, pharmacies, cigar shops, nightclubs etc. It is surprisingly not noisy as the last excursion boat returns about 10 PM and the activity moves to the inside bars after that. Most of the day you just hear a bit of a hum but nothing intrusive. The hotel has a free ride to Medano Beach at about 10:30am and 1:30pm and pick up about 3:30 and 5:30. It is about a 1.5 mile walk or you can take a water taxi but this can add up. The beach itself is congested with restaurants, hawkers and jet skies. We found the constant thumping disco music too much to take. There is also nice empty beach but there is no shade or bathrooms near by. The hotel does not pick up at the airport but will arrange your return trip to the airport for $16 - a good price for a 45 minute ride. When you first arrive at the airport, go all the way outside - anyone who offers you a taxi or shuttle inside the terminal is selling timeshares. When you arrive at the Wyndham don't be confused by the lady who first greets you she is selling timeshares. To register just go to the front desk. If you want a luxurious, tropical ambiance with beautiful gardens this is not the place. The Wyndham was regular, clean, reasonable, friendly, convenient and fun and we would return. I would however take my own little pillow.

Room Tip: Choose a Marine view room and ask for one close to the elevators. It can be a long walk to some of t...

Raul the busboy was fantastic, the ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful and genuinally happy to cater to my every need, which brings me to mr. Galvez the front desk manager, he wa absolutely the most helpful individual in the entire hotel, they should consider making this man the general manager cause he would be great at the job, either way they are lucky to have this man working for them.

We stayed for a week at the Wyndham resort in April, the rooms were clean and appeared well maintained, I booked a junior suite which was a nice size for us to use as a meeting point before heading out for the day, beautiful view of the Marina. The "city view" room does not have a deck at all and is very small, and the view is not great. Overall an okay place to stay, we had just finished 2 weeks at Marival Residences in Nuevo Vallarta so a bit of an adjustment for us as there is no comparison at all.

Had a good experience at the Wyndham. Room was clean. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is located near a lot of good places in Cabo San Lucas. They can arrange a taxi to the airport for about $16 USD per person. Breakfast was good.

We bought the groupon and had an excellent time when we were actually there. The location is great and the dinner cruise was amazing. However...Dont exdpect a free shuttle fromt he airport to the hotel. We were flying through LAX to LOS CABOS and our flight from SFO was delayed to LAX which made us miss our flight for LOS CABOS....our 3.5 hr flight turned into a 30+ hour nightmare.....we flew from sfo to lax to chicago to houston to cabo.....it was excruciating....when we finally got out of the airport we were shocked to find out that we were NOT on the list for a shuttle to the airport....we stood around for about an hour confused until some kind local man let us know where we could find another shuttle and each pay $17 USD to get us to the hotel. WHen we asked the hotel if they would take care of our shuttle for the way back to the airport(since we didnt get one to the hotel) they said that we went through the groupon deal and it was not their problem. I am not at all mad, just a little let down. I notified cristina via email and telephone letting her know that we would be arriving a day late so we figure the shuttle would know we were arriving....if we were at least warned that we would have to find transportation it wouldnt have been an issue but once you exit the airport you cannot re-enter. We did not ask the hotel if we could stay an extra day since we missed one (we didnt even assume that they would allow us to) but if you can imagine, after the 30+ hour hassle of getting to mexico the last thing we expected was being stuck at the airport. We ended up having a blast in cabo despite all the traveling issues and the large line to check in. We go past all of that and let it go. However once we got home i noticed on my bank account that they charged a $300 deposit fee onto my account. Its been a month and i havent recieved it back. Their excuse wsas because i used a debit card not a credit card. Why didnt someone at the front desk say anything whrn they looked at my card marked "debit" The mamagement for wyndham hotel has not been too friendly and insisted on copies of my bank statements. Once i sent them the statement he said it still has not been a month (its literally a day short of a month). This has been a huge headache i have spent endless amounts of time responding to emails and scanning documents. Do yourselves a favor and USE YOUR CREDIT CARD NOT DEBIT CARD because they will Not PROPERLY INFORM YOU. This makes me a bit upset i would love to go back, but now im scared something similar may happen again. We will see next time. Like i said...experience was great...great location for younger people, but make sure you use a credit card and make 100% sure someone will be sending a shuttle for you otherwise you will be easily spending $40 extra.

Room Tip: Marina view rooms were awesome!

We did have the opportunity to exchange two e-mails explaining the Debit Card issue, same that I would take this opportunity to explain for the benefit of the TA community. Due to the fact that Banks require at least a month to release a check-in performed to a debit card, we do not accept them in order to establish credit lines at the Resort; not do we only advise customers of this when a debit card is identified at check in, but we have it in writing on our registration card, where it clearly states “Debit Cards are not accepted as a way to establish credit line, Only Credit Cards”, same that was signed by the reviewer, this is a security procedure at most hotels in the world, for the safety of the establishment and the card holder itself when travelling abroad. The statement was requested in order to identify if in fact a charge was processed or not, which in this case it was only the pre-authorization. We appreciate the positive notes regarding the excellent time while at the resort and do hope to host the reviewer again in the near future, I am sure knowing this information we will be able to avoid a similar situation in the future.
