The food here is astonishingly good and good for you! Mostly gluten-free and lactose-free, with plenty of vegan options, you will never miss what's "missing". Chef Alfonso is a culinary genius, trained in Europe, with roots in Oaxaca. Your taste buds will sing, your body will feel marvelous, and your spirits will soar when you eat at Alfonso's Salsabor. I brought a group of friends here for dinner and we all loved the food (and the chef) so much we signed up for his next cooking class. This is not just another Mexican restaurant or cooking class. And by the way, according to my chef friends in Mexico, the diet of indigenous pre-Hispanic Mexicans was predominantly vegetarian/vegan. Alfonso has turned it into an art form.
