I stayed at Casa Schuck for five nights for a friend's wedding. She held the rehearsal dinner as well as the reception at Casa Schuck as well. It was one of the best weddings I had ever experienced (beautiful church ceremony, Mexican procession and even fireworks). San Miguel has lots of charm and character. I would highly recommend San Miguel and Casa Schuck for anyone who is contemplating a destination wedding. I'm a big fan of destination weddings as I had mine in the South Pacific and have attended other destination weddings as well.

The owners of Casa Schuck are really incredible and generous hosts. I very much enjoyed their company! They also had great recommendations for activities, restaurants and everything else in San Miguel. The staff was wonderful; they are courteous, sweet and always available. From Casa Schuck, it is an easy walk to the town center, churches, shops and galleries. I would definitely go back and visit again. It's easy to get to San Miguel from LA; a 3-hour flight to Leon, and then a car ride of about 1 hr. 15 min. For folks who are concerned about safety in San Miguel, I must say that I felt safe at all times. Many of us went out late and felt safe walking back from bars and night clubs.

I recently made my way to San Miguel de Allende for the destination wedding of a close friend. San Miguel is a picturesque colonial town in Central Mexico, with amazing architecture, friendly people, and much to explore and enjoy.

Many of those in wedding party, including myself, stayed at Casa Schuck, and many of the wedding festivities, including the rehearsal dinner and the reception took place at there.

Susan and Chuck, Casa Schuck’s owners, and their staff went out of their way to make sure the wedding was perfect and all of the guests had a wonderful time. When the airline lost my luggage, the friendly staff at Casa Schuck volunteered to call the airline, track down my luggage, nudge the airline to send it to me asap, and report back to me. And that’s exactly what the staff did. I only wish the airline had been so attentive in the first place. Likewise, Susan and Chuck let all the guests know the best spots in the town see and answered any questions concerning things to do and places to go. Indeed, Susan even gave me a lesson on local politics and efforts to keep the town true to its colonial roots.

Each room at Casa Schuck is uniquely and beautifully decorated with local craft work. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Most, if not all, open on to a central courtyard that is elegantly landscaped, and all have access to various roof decks that offer stunning views of the town and wonderful place to relax with a drink, catch some sun, and do a little reading.

It was a fantastic place to stay and run by really nice people.

Room Tip: The Library Room looked pretty cool.

Went back to SMA and to Casa Schuck for a weekend with friends, Casa Schuck is still the perfect place to stay in SMA. Great location, very attentive staff and delicious breakfast!

Staying at Casa Cordelli or Casa Schuck...is as dreamy as the little town of San Miguel. I have always called it Magic Town! After living in SMA for nearly 4 years, I went to the States for an 8 month project...and decided for a bunch of good reasons to move Stateside again. When retruring to SMA to do my move, I stayed several weeks at Casa Cordelli. A note~ Over the years the Cordelli family have become close friends of mine. I have atteneded many a fiesta at the "high on the hill" property and consider it one of the most beautiful and special "spots" in all of Magic Town! The compound is special due to its spectacular view, warm and knowledgeable staff, Susan and Chuck's uncomprimising, yet relaxed attention to every detail. If you are looking to spend a quiet week with your spouse or rock and party a week away with family friends or for a wedding (They do an off the hook job on weddings) and taking over the whole compound or a block of rooms at Casa Schuck- then meet Chuck, Susan, their staff and Magic Town...no need to go any further! They know everyone...and can assist with just about anything your heart desires while staying with them or planning something special.
The location for Casa Cordelli is on the Hill overlooking town...10 minutes you are down the hiil and in the jardine. Yepper..it is a BIG hill...grab a taxi back up...25 pesos (less than 2 dollars) from anywhere in town!! If you stay at Casa Schuck...three blocks...you are again, in the Jardine. Casa Schuck is right in Centro and two blocks from anything and everything! I have referred friends to both locations..and each time..they have been thrilled with the experience and the good fortune of staying at Casa Schuck and Casa Cordelli!
Finally~ San Miguel is safe..safe and safe. Go...enjoy...and tell your friends!!

Room Tip: You won't go wrong...on any of the rooms in either property!
