I'm never booking a hotel again. Giltraps has set my standards high as to what to expect from a Glamping experience. They certainly know how to cater for any type of traveller weather its a family, a group of friends or even a lone wolf. You will be welcomed with the same hearty feeling u receive if you were visiting a family member. Eleanor who greeted us with a big smile immediately became a friend as she attended to us for the night. This is a family run establishment and each having a role to make your stay a memorable one!! They have everything you would need and more.... the log cabins are beautifully put together, comfortable and modern. Warm and cozy. We did not hear a sound even with a storm. The landscaped gardens surrounding us were stunning with a small chicken coup that providing fresh laid eggs for breakfast. (I recieved some as a parting gift from the lovely mother) Toilets and shower facilities were spotless and tastefully decorated. They also have a large disabled toilet and shower room. The on site cafe was more like grans kitchen. Such wonderful aroma of fresh baked products and comfortable surroundings. The lady's were so friendly and attentive to our needs. Full of chat and helpful advice of the area. There is a lounge area decorated with worldly items to make anyone feel like home. Filled with an array of books,...I'm never booking a hotel again. Filled with an array of books, plays table for kids and comfortable sofas. The townhouse is equipped with its own pub right across the road. Great character and orignallity. We soon became like one of the locals as we got to know the rest of the family. They had decorated the bar for my birthday and made my night. Getting serenaded by barman John who is a natural on the Mike and music system...they provided complimentary platters and and entertainment for the night. A Father, Mother, Son and Daughter team went above and beyond to make our visit a memorable one, and we will sure be returning to Giltraps in the future. Everyone should try Giltraps at some point. They won't be disappointed. 😁😁More
