The eco zen experience at Suenos is pervasive - from the sheer beauty of the place, to the organizity of accommodations, to the diversity of excellent dining offerings to the loveliness of all the staff. We will return - next time for our fifth visit - bringing family together in this warm community. Thank you Suenos!

My Husband and I brought our 3 kids ages 14, 13, and 9. The place was great and the location was perfect. The longer we stayed, the better it got. Hotel Suenos is very laid back and chill yet well run and very friendly. The staff was very helpful with organizing tours and taxis. Our room, the Temple suite was lovely and had very comfortable beds. I really appreciated the little touches around the property like candle lit walkways and bonfire in the meditaiton area at night. Loved coming back to our quite little resort after dinner to be greeted by Lobo, the managers dog. We will miss Lobo and Cax the squirl as much as the gorgeous beach. We will definitelly come back! Please be sure to eat at the Kitchen Table restaurant. It was amazing! Was underwhelmed with Hartwood.

Three of us shared one of the junior suites at Suenos. After a few days of visiting cenotes and shopping we discovered that the best way to spend time was to stay put at Suenos. We ate three meals a day from their kitchen, spent time on the beach beds, swam in the pool, played in the ocean and simply relaxed in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. This was my second visit to Suenos Tulum and I plan on returning.

Room tip: All rooms have a beautiful view, but the top floor is best.

My friend and I just came back from a 5 day stay at Suenos Tulum. It was our first time there and wow did we hit the jackpot. Suenos was amazing and unlike any of the other places in Tulum. Francisco, who lives on the property, is an artist who focuses on Mayan art. When he and the 2 owners built Tulum from 2001-2003, they made sure that his art was prominent. Mayan art is all throughout the property, giving in a unique feel for the area. They also made sure to keep a jungle feel by leaving plants and tree throughout with with small signs that say "silence" in quiet areas. It felt to us like we'd landed in paradise. All of the rooms are also artfully done, immaculate, with comfortable beds. In the bathroom, the sink, toilet, and soap holder are painted in Mayan scenes.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was friendly and remembered our names. Breakfast (included) was lovely and included local fruits, rolls, granola, and yogurt. I often ordered eggs to go with it. I loved eating in a palapa covered area looking out on the blue/green ocean. There are tons of things to do in Tulum however staying on the property, as many people did, would be just as relaxing and fun. I will absolutely go back and will bring my husband next time. Oh, and the food was fabulous! We ate at a few other places but have to say that the chef at Suenos was much better. Make sure to ask what the special of the day is. He'll make you an amazing meal!

Room tip: All the rooms are excellent!

Hola Susan!

First of all, we would like to thank you for choosing Sueños as your first Tulum experience, you sure did hit the jackpot! :)
As you mentioned in your review, our resort is unlike any other place in Tulum. Since the beginning, our main focus has been to tribute the Mayan culture and to preserve our surroundings, naturally transmitting the real essence of a cultural travelling experience.

We are happy to know that you had such a pleasant time at our resort and that even though there are a lot of things to do in Tulum, staying at Sueños for you was just as relaxing and fun. We often have guests that plan several activities throughout their vacation, but end up hanging out at our resort instead.

It was great having you here with us Susan, and we look forward to meeting your husband during your next visit!

Best wishes,
Sueños Tulum.

We heard about this fabulous place from family who go almost every year. The rooms, food and service did not disappoint. The beach was beautiful although there was seaweed accumulation it was cleared every day. It is not smelly or bug filled like in the US so it didn’t bother us a bit.
Francisco the owner was very responsive to our requests and connected us with a great taxi driver who took us out on 3 half day trips. He carefully built this hotel and is very proud to show you how he got the main building done himself, it is very Mayan in feel. The grounds were impeccable and there were several quiet nooks for gathering at night. Music plays softly in the resort and lends to the groovy feel.
The room was always clean and cool, we didn’t use the AC at night. We felt safe with the windows open on the ground floor, do advise you use the mosquito nets if bugs bite you- I was fine but my husband felt the noseeums.
We only ate the plentiful breakfast and had lunch one time. Service in Tulum is leisurely but thorough. There was some daytime drink service at the bar but we brought our own down sometimes after a grocery run in Tulum town. Staff suggested we go to that grocery when we forgot sunglasses because the boutique prices were high up and down the beach road, it was great and a quick cab ride away. Take cash and know there is a room safe- several restaurants were cash only and you will need it for cabs. USD were widely accepted and there are ATMs all over.
Bikes provided transportation or we walked to dinners. A lot of traffic at the delivery times but it was not noisy at all in the hotel. The ocean sounds drown out any vehicle sounds. It was very windy the week of our stay but it kept you cool.

Hola Cathy,

Thanks for taking the time to write your review! It is very important for us to hear your feedback. We are happy to hear your family shared their special spot with you. It was a pleasure having you stay at Sueños with us.

Tulum is always in constant change. Seaweed will eventually go and it is windy most of the time... it is Tulum's energy.

We hope to see you again soon!

Best wishes,
Sueños Tulum.
