We visited the ruins in Tulum (which are a twenty minute walk along the beach) and decided to stay for the night as the area is so relaxed and beautiful. The area on the whole is a lot quieter than areas up the coast and has a really relaxed beach vibe. We stayed at Diamante K and I have to say it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Anna, on the reception desk was exceptional, really friendly and attentive and made sure we were well and truly looked after from start to finish. Our room was big, clean and had a great view of the sea. Electric is limited to certain times of the day for lighting (it does come on for the evening and through the night) but you can charge phones etc at any time with the sockets in the rooms.

The restaurant/bar area is really nice and the staff were fantastic. Food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. During our evening the area was lit with candles and they had great live music to keep guests occupied.

Overall an exceptional place to stay, absolutely beautiful, very comfortable and great staff, what more could you ask for.

Thanks to all and in particular, Anna, for making our stay so welcoming! :)

This resort is located in a great beach locations, It is beauty due to the natural arounds, Tulum itself is beautiful.

Cabins are conformable for low budget and nature adventurers, provided by justa hanging bed and a cover for mosquitos, it may feel warmth before midday and quite fresh after midnight when temperature drops and winds blows.

Bathrooms are shared.

Of Course you can find cabin with air conditioner and private bathroom if you prefer.

Sometimes It feels like no employees are around, specially during nights, hard to find someone to help.

It has no pool but a beautiful ocean, most of it is rock but has a small bay where people can swim, or a white beach to catch a good tan.

The restaurant is very good but quite expensive incoherent regarding the stay costs, hotel seem to be for low budget but food for high budget.

I recommend this hotel If you really understand the points I am highlighting, otherwise find something for you.

I believe this hotel is not good for children, just adults and specially couples.

Hello,

We are glad to know you enjoyed your days at Diamante K.
We work hard for you to enjoy your vacations and these is our biggest satisfaction.
Regarding the beach, the property has a 200 mtrs ocean front extension: 150 metres located on a cliff with rocks and 50 metres of a private cove with sand, hammocks, beach chairs and umbrellas where you have swim access (this is just for our guests). Depending on the tide, the bay gets bigger or smaller.

Our restaurant has prices ranging from MXN $120, for example a salad, soup or quesadillas, $ 170 a beef burger or MXN $ 320 a salmon.
Breakfasts are complete and are already included in the room rate.

Hoping to see you again at our place :)

Best regards,

Diamante K

I planned a get away with my partner and ended up in this MAGICAL place. So many good things to say about this place. People are the NICEST, the atmosphere in the rooms is romantic and natural. We weren't planning on eating at the restaurant, but we came in late and they had LIVE MUSIC so we went in to have a bite. We had some delicious artisanal cocktails (agua de Jamaica with mezcal) and ceviche. The service was so good we didn't eat anywhere else for the three days we were there. Everything is delicious, even the club sandwich was amazing. We spent the day at the beach drinking coconut water and eating wacamole. If you want the best food with the most lovely service you have to eat here!!

I've tried other hotels in Tulum, and this is by far my favorite.
It is not fancy and as it is a eco place, a lot of things are different than regular resorts, but in my opinion it is perfect.
Our room (B) had ocean view, private bathroom and highly recommended compared to other rooms as it was on the first floor and therefore a lot more privacy than the other rooms.
The only minus is that there is no beach, but the public beach is only 5 minutes away. And that since the hotel is in a national park you cannot have snacks in the room.
However there is good options for laying in the sun as there are plenty of sunbeds, and a bar/restaurant if you get hungry.
Besides that it is great and definately worth a visit. If I were to go back to Tulum, I would stay here.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Diamante K for 5 days at the end of March. We initially booked at another hotel further south on Tulum beach but after reading really bad reviews regarding noise, we settled on the "Hippie Hut" room at Diamante K. The room description said shared bathroom so we expected to arrive and find a very simple room for the price we paid.

Fast forward to our arrival. We arrived very late at night and were met by the hotel security guard who made check in in the dark very simple and guided up personally to our room. To our surprise, the room was much more amazing than we expected. It was like an amazing Swiss Family Robinson tree house adventure. Room 5 is actually an amazing raised room with bamboo walls (two cement), a bed hanging from the ceiling and a mosquito net, sink, and to our delight our very own in-room shower. The only thing we shared was the toilet which was just a few steps out our back door. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was plenty of storage for our belongings and we never once felt like our belongings were at risk. The water pressure was what can be expected in an eco-hotel and was perfectly adequate for a quick refreshing shower. The water was always hot! We also loved the all natural bug spray, mouth wash, etc. that was provided in our room. Our room was cleaned daily and we were never bothered by any kind of noise at night. Honestly, the bugs didn't both us at all and being there in late March, the temperature at night was incredibly comfortable and cool. There are more shared toilets and a shared shower elsewhere on the premises as well which was really useful when we stayed at the beach all day and then had to go to the airport.

We awoke the next morning to the sunrise and the sound of birds playing on our roof and I went to explore the resort. I was so amazed by the view that I actually teared up.

The private cabanas throughout the hotel are such a treat and it's a great place to watch sunrise. We spent our first day entirely at Diamante K. We had breakfast at the restaurant, as we did every morning, and were so happy with our choices. The eggs were delicious, the bacon crispy, and my boyfriend is still trying to find pancakes as good as the ones we had at Diamante K. I also ordered smoothies from time to time which were also delicious. The service in the restaurant was accommodating and friendly and we adored everyone there.

That day we set up on one of the beach cabanas in their private cove -- which I have to mention was such a treat and was cleaned of seaweed and rocks throughout the day by hotel staff. It was not too crowded. Our server delivered drinks to us throughout the day and we enjoyed ceviche and guacamole. The mixed ceviche with octopus was delicious. In fact, every meal we had at the restaurant was great. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No frills, not too pricey, and delicious. Just what you need. The drinks were very reasonably priced (we learned this upon venturing out to more trendy bars and restaurants) and tasty .. and strong. Miguel always took amazing care of us. Big groups of pelicans fly over head every ten minutes or so. It's just perfect.

If you didn't want to, you wouldn't have to leave the resort honestly. They have live music some nights and a masseuse on site, which I'd definitely recommend taking advantage of for ultimate relaxation. But when you are ready to venture out, they make it easy for you. There are always taxis waiting outside and we rented bikes one day which was really fun.

Diamante K is pure magic. I would stay here again and again. We didn't have any issues and the hotel staff was incredibly friendly, Ana even helped us call our cab driver when our phone wouldn't work. The views and the relaxed atmosphere are a treat compared to a lot of more pretentious places we visited during our time in Tulum. I can't wait to come back.
