Overall great experience. Not too far from the airport. Great beach. SCUBA company on site was cool too. Downsides - this is a time share property, so if you are staying past Saturday, you'll have to move rooms. Also, more dining choices would be nice.

I visited the Royal Haciendas for 2 weeks, March 17-31 with my husband and some family who have stayed before, and I can definitely see why they keep going back!! I don’t really have anything bad to say about the place. The food is yummy, the resort is clean and in a great location, they have a great beach, nice pools, lots of activities (for kids and adults) and the staff is amazing!!! Everyone is so friendly, from the guys at the front, the front desk and housekeepers, room service attendants and event staff. Special shout out to Carlos who works mornings in the rotunda bar - love his smiling friendly face in the mornings, not to mention he makes the best coffee, I’m still craving it! Also huge shout out to the guys in the event staff - Leo, Luis, Alfredo, Christopher, Jesus (both of them) and Johnathon. They do an amazing job at getting people to participate in all the activities and it’s so much fun!! Not to mention Johnathon taught an amazing Zumba class :) these guys work so hard and have great ideas. Hope to see them again!! Will definitely be coming back in the future.

This resort is wonderful for families! Lots of activities, excellent service and impeccably clean! This was our third trip to Royal Haciendas, we had a large group and they accommodated all of us! Would definitely go again!

We just enjoyed 3 weeks at the Royal Haciendas. We have been members of the Royal Resorts for 16 years and wouldn’t miss going back for anything. The facilities are kept in great shape and the grounds are beautiful.
We would like to recognize Jorge Roque Jimenez, a member of the security staff. He took the time to stop by every morning by the pool to make sure our family had what we needed and never failed to say hello as he made his rounds. He made our stay very enjoyable.

Hotel is fine overall, but do not take your children to the kids club! We let our son (6) go to the beach soccer activity only to find him wandering the beach crying 45 minutes later. My wife was super nervous about leaving him but we were assured it was fine.
