We loved our trip to Paradisus Playa del Carmen. We spent a week at the resort in a swim up room..I would recommend this type of room because it connects you to a whole systems of pool that are kind of like a river that you might not use if you don't have one of these rooms. Our kids loved the swim up "river." As part of the reserve, we had a personal concierge, Eduardo Gamboa, who took very good care of us. He arranged all our dinner reservations, airport transfers, and took care of any request big or small. He always had a smile for us. He also did lots of surprises for the kids (scavenger hunts in the room, bubble baths with balloon animals, birthday cakes) which made the trip really special for the kids. There is a great water park in the resort with a splash pad for little kids and bigger slides (perfect for about 6-10 year olds). The beach was beautiful, clean, and had kayaks to use for free. All the food was amazing. We especially loved Fuego. Many types of ceviche and meats to enjoy. Our kids enjoyed the kids club, and Aba, Yessenia, and Milka took really good care of them. Carmen had a friendly smile for us every day in the reserve lobby coffee station. Oh, also, there is a 24 hour coffee shop on site with espresso drinks and pastries. Everyone...More
