The Royal Hideaway is the epitome of luxury and relaxation. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the rooms beautiful too, especially loved the bathroom. I had a great time here with my boyfriend but we were definitely one of the youngest there at 26 years old, but life is what you make it! The most annoying thing is they don't play music around the pool which I imagine could be annoying to older clientele but helps with the atmosphere. We enjoyed all the restaurants, especially the Japanese one. Staff were fab and people friendly. We also used the dive shop for a couple of dives and everything was great. Would recommend to slightly older crowd.

The hotel grounds are beautiful. It is very quiet, with 90% of the guests being older than 50 years old. We came here for our honeymoon and we're so disappointed. First- you only get two choices for breakfast and lunch. For dinner they close the other restaurants so that they could use the same staff. No one in the hotel seems to go out of their way to make it memerobale. We asked for an upgrade for our honeymoon room which they didn't want to give. It was my husbands birthday and if you want to do something special it all comes at a price. You would think a place like this could offer something complimentary for a birthday celebration. We tried to book some tours, again seeing that the staff are not willing to go out of thier way to meet your needs. The food was ok nothing special, drinks are good. The most disappointing thing is lack of service from the staff and untruthful presentation. Even though they claim to have 6 restraunts you are confined to only one per night since the others are closed. For the amount of money we payed I expected a lot more. This will be a great place of you are older than 60 and just want to sit by the pool. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because the staff here just don't care about your experience.

This was a perfect trip for my husband I. Our concierge, Alejandro welcomed us and our room was ready right away, with an upgrade! We had fantastic service from the smiling, helpful staff, especially Fernando and his team by the cabanas! They made sure we had a place every day, anticipated our drink and food orders and even chased down a man on the beach for me to purchase a hat. Food, weather, and hotel room was perfect! Our first all inclusive and we will be back!

This is one of those all inclusives that is not all-inclusive. If you want a semi-decent glass of wine you will have to buy it at a fairly high price. Outside of that, the evening food is decent. Breakfast/lunch are ok at best. The pools are not great, but you won't get a lounge chair there anyway. The beach is very nice.

The resort staff was beyond accommodating and personable. The food was surprisingly good at each and every restaurant. The resort was clean and comfortable, nice rooms and great location. The adults only vibe was extremely pleasant and if you are looking for a romantic vacation, this is the spot for couples. There was no bad vibes from anyone the entire week and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a well deserved vacation of rest and relaxation. I can't wait until next year.

Room Tip: The villas near the pool have private decks.
