This park is brilliant we had a fab day here, there is so much to do and see, we were there from 9ish in the morning and didn't leave till around 6ish, there is a show at 7pm for 2 hours but we had had enough by that time so left before, you can do a river swim which is quite long, it goes in and out of caves, that was really good, theres a small boat trip along paradise river, snorkelling, sea trek experience, interacting with sharks and dolphins and lots more and inbetween all that theres shows going on in different areas, it really was a good day we had no complaints at all.

Its's been over 20 years since we visited Xcaret and wow how it has changed. Of course just like the surrounding towns too. But it was still as beautiful and worth going to. We don't have kids so we just wanted to swim the river, do some walking and see the evening show. We were staying right next door at an all inclusive so we went back and forth for the day to eat at our resort. The river seemed longer then previous years (unless it's just that we're older now lol) it was 1/4 mile long. But it was fantastic. How they have modernized the photo taking, years ago someone was just in one location with a camera. Now you just scan your wrist band at different locations along the river then jump in front or under the camera and its taken. Then you go to the front desk to purchase any of the pics if you want. We watched the dolphins, the sharks and the sea turtles and just walked around some of the park. We went back a little late to see the evening show and it was fantastic, well worth seeing! They do a fantastic job. We did not see or do everything they had to offer. If you have kids you should do more then one day in order to experience everything. Well worth it. We went early in the morning so it was not too crowded.

We had been to Xcaret over 30 years ago and at that time we paid $20.00 (US) for a car with 4 persons. It was not developed at all. Just the beach and the river were available. If you plan on visiting this more than excellent site, be certain that you book at least 2 days and even at that I am certain you will have glanced only at some of the exhibits and things to do. One thing is for certain, you cannot and should not miss the show. We had booked only the one day and did not get to see everything on the site but I can vouch that the show is worth the money of the one day price. We plan on going back to the same hotel because we can walk to the Xcaret site within 10 minutes and this time we will be taking the one week ticket which is near the price of the 2 day cost. This and Chichen Itza made for a most fabulous trip with my wife even if we came back tired but extremely content.

Xcaret was as beautiful as it was when we first came here 5 years ago, and the beauty of this park cannot be shown in just pictures. The underground rivers are really unique, and the beaches and oceanfront views are incredible. This park doesn't have beaches like those in Cancun, but there are so many other things to do, such as wandering around through the paths and exploring the Mayan village, that you really don't need a beach. It's also a water-lover's paradise; with swimming holes seemingly scattered all along the waterfront and 3 different underground rivers, all of which have a unique character. Definitely recommend getting Xcaret Plus as that gives you all-inclusive access(food here is pretty good!)and lockers, and definitely recommend trying out Sea Trek(the technology itself is amazing, and there are so many fish!). Xcaret Espectacular is also a nice show to top it all off! The only problem we had was the overcrowding at the park. If the park was any more crowded than what it was when we went there, it would be unsafe for both the environment and the people. There were traffic jams on paths, and traffic jams in rivers, and the entire place in general felt crammed and packed. Crowd control is something I think should be worked on(such as restricting entry, expanding the park, making sure lagoons/water isn't loaded with people). Overall, though, Xcaret is still a full-day, worthwhile, unique experience
