“Yuca Treks is the Only Wat to Go!”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

My wife and I have been going on tours with Mitch sense 2005 and have always had a great time. Every trip you go on is well planned and excellent. This April we went on Sea to Cenote and the Coba Trip both trips had a small number of people on them and were loads of fun.

Yuca Treks does tours for people that don't like tours! No big buses, no huge crowds, you feel like you are with friends going on a day trip. If you want the best trips on the Yucatan contact Mitch at Yuca Treks!

Noel on the Sea to Cenote trip did a great job and we saw amazing fish and turtles. This was the best snorkeling trip we have been on. Don't miss this adventure!!

“A fabulous day!”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

We did the 'Sea to Cenote' tour earlier this month with YucaTreks guide Noel.

Noel picked us up at our resort right on time and we had an outstanding day (even though it rained). We've traveled a fair bit in the Caribbean area, and this was one of the best excursions we've done. The cenote was an amazing experience, as was swimming with the sea turtles in Akumal. Lunch was included in the price and we ate at a resort facility in Akumal (very good). We then visited Yal-Ku Lagoon. This is a beautiful area with great snorkeling. By the time we were at the lagoon it was overcast and pouring rain, but we had a good time nonetheless. I can only imagine how beautiful the snorkeling would be if the sun was shining. I would like to do this tour again on our next trip to the PDC area, just to experience it in the sun.

“Chichen Itza Tour - Amazing!”
Reviewed 22 April 2012

We went to Chichen Itza with Eder and Omar from YucaTreks and had an outstanding day. Our group (9 people on the tour in all) started early, 7:15 from Playa del Carmen, but it was worth it because when we got to Chichen Itza there were not a lot of people there. Eder was our tour guide inside Chichen too. He knows all the shady spots to stop and explain information (very important, because it is very hot!) and he was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. He really helped us understand the site and the history of that time in Mexico. Chichen Itza is a breathtaking site, and we never felt rushed. After showing us the main sites at Chichen Itza, we went for a very refreshing dip in a gorgeous cenote. We were lucky to be the only group enjoying the water. We stopped at a local restaurant and it was delicious. The restaurant owner was preparing tortillas over the fire, and it was a great opportunity to learn more about traditional Yucatecan meals. They seemed to make easy accommodations for people with specific allergy or dietary needs. We visited Valladolid for about 30 minutes and got a chance to see the main square, and look around.
I would really recommend YucaTreks and their Chichen Itza trip - Eder was a terrific guide, and both he and Omar were very amiable and so helpful. Next time I go to Mexico I hope to book a different tour with them!

“Fantastic day of Cenotes, Beach and Ruins”
Reviewed 18 April 2012

We took this tour with our 3 kids (ages 16, 11, 11) and it was a truly fantastic day. We were picked up in a very comfortable van by our guides, Omar and Edel, who immediately offered us refreshments! First stop was Tulum--thankfully very early in the day as it gets very hot and crowded there. All of the tickets, including the trolley from the parking lot, were included. Edel was an extremely informed guide walking us through the site and teaching the entire way. Kept our kids attention--no easy feat in the morning heat!

After Tulum we were off to Gran Cenote, our first Cenote experience, for snorkeling. This was an unbelievable experience, and--if you've never been in a Cenote--is highly recommended. The guides provided the snorkeling gear, prepped it for us, etc.

After the first Cenote, we were off to a marvelous, quiet beach in Tulum where we spent a couple of hours, including a delicious lunch. Then, on our way back towards Playa Del Carmen, a stop at Azul Cenote for more snorkeling. Azul Cenote is above ground, and has beautiful fish, so bring your underwater camera.

This was certainly one of the best "tours" we've every been on and a great way to fit in Cenotes, Beach and Tulum in one day. Highly, highly recommended.
