Our stay at the Hacienda was a welcome respite from the sights and sounds of Merida. Iona and JR are excellent hosts and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners on the breezy verandah looking out at the well tended gardens. A special thanks to Theresa, who greeted us each morning at breakfast.
Our rooms were very comfortable and well appointed with white fluffy towels and wonderful soft sheets.
The grounds are lush and around every corner you can encounter ginger, palms, roses, banana trees and Iona’s herb and vegetable garden. Bright parrots along with the resident kitty and Ginger their dog, welcomed us home from our days of sightseeing at the Mayan ruins nearby.
We highly recommend this peaceful oasis for large groups and families or couples wishing to get away from it all.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hacienda San Pedro. The Canadian Owners JR and Iona are excellent hosts and the rooms were clean, spacious and refreshingly decorated. A pool and games room is on the grounds, and the food is delicious! Highly recommended for families, couples or singles. This is a good home base for people wanting to explore the area and stay at a place that is easily accessible to main highways and downtown Merida.

Check the map before you book this place. It’s located in a suburb of Mérida, not in the middle of the Yúcatan jungle. If this is OK for you, go for it. The property is really nice and atmospheric. We had the room upstairs which was very good. Breakfast is good and served on the wonderful terrace.

After a busy trip to Merida, the Hacienda San Pedro Nohpat was a delightful change of pace. Well appointed with antiques, the atmosphere is just what you'd expect from a colonial Yucatan hacienda. High end linen, comfortable beds, lots of hot water, strong internet and a delicious breakfast prepared to order let you know you are staying in a modern hotel that pays attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Hosts and staff go out of their way to provide for your every need and make you feel welcome. Close to the Merida periferico and the main highway to Cancun, we had no trouble navigating our rental car to the many places of interest around the city. A great find!
