I've stayed at this posada on 4 occasions (several nights each stay) and have found it to be full of charm. Meriam and Enrique are wonderful who go out of their way to ensure a pleasant visit and make one feel at home. The pool is very pretty and the patio offers a pleasant place to take advantage of the wifi and coffee and cookies available in the communal kitchen. Rooms are exceptionally clean and everything on the property is well taken care of. And Charlie (the guayerbera wearing cat) adds the finishing touch! Highly recommended!

Good spacious and clean rooms. The courtyard and rooftops are lovely and it has a small pool.
Meriam is so kind and friendly which made it feel like coming home (although we stayed here for only 2 nights). They offer excursions (Celestun is a tip) too.
You can take coffee, tea and purified water for free in the kitchen and cookies for breakfast. We bought some bread in the OXXO so we could make toast, there is a toaster in the kitchen as well.

Casa Alvarez is a beautifully colored, centrally situated, small familyrun hotel. The pool is a welcome cool-off. The family is very helpfull and there's a communal kitchen, with free coffee, tea, purified water and even cookies. Excellent value for your money.

Our family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed 3 nights in this wonderful relaxing Casa. The hosts Myriam and Enrique were the most friendly people always making sure that everything was OK. Myriam was a great source of information on what to do in the area, where to eat and even where to get our clothes washed. The room we had was very big with a king size bed and a double bed, a fridge and a safe.there was a nice patio just beside it. Wifi was also available. There was a small pool which we enjoyed in the hot afternoons and a common kitchen where we would prepare our breakfasts. For 600 Mx pesos, you can't beat that ! The location is also close to the center but in a quieter area.
We discovered following Myriam's advice an excelllent restaurant 5 min walk away: Cafeinosense calle 60 between 55 and 57. The food was great and prices cheap, try the pizza al pastor !!!!
