I could not find availability to make my reservation online in Isla and ended up just walking in. I am glad I did. The location is right in the heart of down town. The room had AC, ceiling fan, mini fridge and microwave oven. Plenty of channels in the TV. Pool area is very clean. I personally wish the area was no smoking since it's quite small.

This charming hotel exceeded my expectations, and loved the location. We had a poolside room and no matter how busy Hidalgo was, in the courtyard it was serene and quiet.
I found this hotel to be a very good value - we had a clean, spacious and airy room with all we needed. The fridge, dishware and small appliances were sufficient to prepare light breakfasts and snacks, with markets, shops and seemingly innumerable restaurants only steps away. i found the firm beds perfect- just like home!

I had been going here for several years. They are one of the higher priced hotels on the Island. Unfortunately it has become really run down. My daughter woke up covered in Bed Bug Bites. There was mold in the bathroom and they did not clean our shower once in the 3 weeks we were there. They tried charging me for the extra week we had booked. Of course we checked out after finding bed bugs. As we were leaving they were showing a lady the room we had been in and were going to rent to her knowing their was bed bugs and mold. Their pool had bird poop and bird feathers floating in it. Disgusting. I would never recommend this Hotel to anyone !!!

Room tip: I cannot recommend this Hotel to anyone

We stayed for 2 nights in March 2017. We requested and were given a poolside room. It was very quiet and we didn't hear any of the street noise during the day or at night. The bed was fairly comfortable, we had a safe, the room was clean and the AC worked well. The location was great - right on Hidalgo Street, a couple of short blocks from the north beach. There were lots of restaurants close by (try the rotisserie chicken across the street, Roosters for breakfast and Nash sports bar for a great hamburger).
Unfortunately the fridge clunked on and off whenever it was cycling so the first night we experienced a lot of unexpected wake-ups. In talking with neighbours, it seemed that was happening in many rooms. Our second night was quite windy and there was something loose on the roof over our room (#3) which sounded like furniture being moved all night. I did go to the front desk to see if they had earplugs however the clerk was sound asleep and I didn't bother waking him up :) I ended up using my earbuds which worked fairly well.
We would stay here again - but bring earplugs the next time.
