“Favorite snorkeling spot”
Reviewed 14 April 2012

There are always a million different fish here, they are all very close to shore, and the snorkeling is easy. Sometimes we've seen a school of 3' long parrot fish, a real treat to see. The sunning is comfortable, the view amazing, the service is helpful, and the food and drinks are good for lunch or snacks.

“Good snorkeling, I think?”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

Our hotel recommended we check out Garrafon de Castillo as a cheaper alternative for good snorkeling. We got there relatively early after breakfast and were one of the first to arrive so it was a little confusing to figure out how it all worked. Also the $50 pesos just covers your entrance to the beach area -- renting snorkeling gear and a towel adds another $30 pesos or so per person.

We had a good time although the sea was a little rough... We didn't see anything too amazing but there were a lot of fish. I'm not sure if it would be different if we had actually taken a snorkeling trip or gone next door to the big park but for the price, it was a good activity for a day.

“Small but very nice”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

Although it's very small, so you need to get their early for chairs, which are part of the entrance fee, it's much better than Garrafon Park, which had loud music and too many tourists for the price you pay to get in. This is located just a short distance down from the park, but you need to watch for the sign, or you can miss it.
They have good food and drinks that they will serve you right on the beach or you can go into the small outdoor restaurant. Try the fish tacos and piña coladas.

“Very quaint and only $50 pesos”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Snorkelling here is supposed to be as good as Garrafon Park and a 10th of the price. Included were showers, washrooms, beach chairs and umbrellas and parking. We paid $2 for a locker and had lunch there. The food was really good. Snorkelling was good too.
