We didn’t go to the restaurent or pay to enter the site past the entrance but the view alone is worthwhile. Going around the whole island is a must.

This spot is gorgeous and worth it, however having to pay to get to the pointe after the sign indicated "free admission" and them charging to use the restroom left a sour taste in my mouth. Didn't find the folks that worked there very friendly... the sights, however, are awesome.

We were on the island for 3 days and visited Punta Sur twice.
Walk through the store/restaurant area to the “ticket” area to get to the point. You are paying just $3 USD or $30peoso. If you have pesos, it is even a better deal.

Absolutely stunning natural beauty of crashing waves on the point. It is not just a surface walk to the point, but stairs and walkways down meandering down and around closer to the surf.

Wear tennis shoes or water shoes (flip flops can get very slippery). Be careful of your footing, there are uneven steps, a little crumbling and the railings are “questionable”. Just use common sense.

Excellent photo opportunities, sapphire waters and rustic natural beauty.
Most definitively the BEST view on Isla Mujeres.

I would recommend visiting on a weekday. Sundays becomes very crowded!
We went on a Friday (had the place to ourselves) and we returned on Sunday (the place was packed).

GPS Co-ordinates:
Ticket Booth = N 21 12.213, W 86 42.776
The Point = N 21 12.098, W 86 42.647

This is a most spectacularly beautiful place on Isla Mujeres. The view is breathtaking and the water is so aqua blue and crystal clear that you can see everything in the water. If you go to Cancun, don't miss the opportunity to visit Isla Mujeres for it's absolute beauty. You will not be sorry!
