visited this place not sure what to expect for a small entrance fee to enter this place which goes to helping stray animals in Isla Mujeres this place is quite run down and hard to work out what it used to be i guess an out door museum still had a good walk around and spotted a few lizards and good to know that your entrance fee is going to a good cause

My husband and I visited this place quite a few years ago, and it was rundown but still had some appeal - animals, some gardens, a few ruins. We went yesterday with our grown kids and young grandchildren. It is a dump! Overgrown, falling apart, no animals of any sort, nothing worth seeing even if it was free.

I love coming here. It shows a bit of Isla before all the hotels and growth. I understand Mundaca, the ex pirate who became the owner of almost 40% of the island, was an awful person, and maybe that is why this place doesn't seem to receive any care. I believe it could become a wonderful history museum, to remember the shameful, but also to recover the past. We need to recover all truths, even the uncomfortable ones. The myth of this bitter and evil man in love with a native is appealing, but not well "exploited".

It is a mosquito infested park that is riddled with either dog or iguana poop everywhere. Not worth the 20 pesos to go in.
