We stopped in for a snack and a drink. Loved the view of the street below, great atmosphere, friendly service. Calamari was great, another customer recommended we try the icecream (we didn't try it but she was totally sold on it), and the margaritas were generous in large goblets.

We've been vacationing in Cozumel for years now and we would always walk by and wonder what is up there. Finally gave it a shot this year and I'll tell you what is up there. Scratch made Italian dishes and amazing fresh fish dishes served on a lovely patio! The wait staff have been with the owners forever and they treat everyone like family. The owners Ed (Edwardo) and Shannon are lovely and we kept wanting to go back for dessert or more pasta or just some cocktails just to check in with what they are up to. Loved it!!

Look up for this Northern Italian restaurant that takes full advantage of the delicious seafood fresh in Cozumel. You have to go up a flight of stairs for second floor open air dining. Many may remember this restaurant when it was Prima at this location. Six years ago it became La Terraza with the same chefs, kitchen staff and marvelous waitstaff. Ask for Julian who continues to watch over both the excellence in the food and service. We go to Cozumel every year and a meal at La Terraza is always first on our list of things to do. Truely it is that good.
Tonight I had the grilled lobster.it was very fresh and well prepared. My husband had the fresh fish of the day, grouper topped with crab. He said it was one of the best meals he has ever had. He rarely speaks in such exaggerated language. We share a well prepared Caesar salad as a first course and followed our seafood dinners with one of the best homemade key lime pies ever. We highly recommend this relaxed place with excellent moderte prices to all.

We remembered this location from other visits to Cozumel when we really enjoyed the food and ambience of this roof-top restaurant. It has changed ownership and has gone way down hill.
The evening we went to this restaurant there was only one other couple in the restaurant -- perhaps that should have been a warning to us. The covered terrace area was closed and we were seated overlooking the OXO store -- not very nice ambience.
The waiters were attentive and the service was excellent, but that couldn't make up for a disappointing feeling about the place.
Our appetizer (calamari) was overcooked. Our main course was okay but we thought the meal was way overpriced for the experience.
With so many other choices on the island we would NOT recommend this restaurant unfortunately. If they want to charge high prices, then they need to make some changes and improvements so that the experience and the food are worth the prices they are charging.

Excellent food! Julian was awesome!
Very friendly, gave us great information. The freshness of the food was perfect. It was Italian food in Mexico, and we were pleasantly surprised and happy to have found it. Our Scuba instructor recommended it. We were not disappointed.
