Our trip was amazing. The staff was welcoming, and accommodating. They did everything to ensure our stay was nothing short of a fantasy.
The food was amazing, and our most often attentive server Angel, was the highlight of our trip.

The Island is gorgeous, and we will return - to always stay at this resort.
Thank you all for the most amazing week of my life!

This is a little late, but my husband and I went to the Palace in late Feb.2012. What a Fantastic place, we could not of been more pleased. I had studied an extreme amount of "reviews" to all different resorts and was not disappointed by the Cozumel Palace!! The staff is just exceptional. They are there to meet your every need and truly seem like they enjoy it. You get familiar iwth them and they are a joy to be around. The food was wonderful, not one bad meal, and believe me we tried about every dish there was to try. The rooms are beautiful, we kind of wished we would of gotten a room with a bigger balcony, we were on the first floor and did not have one to speak of, but the advantage was we could run to our room whenever and it was just a short distance from the pool and restaurants. Of course there is no beach but you won't miss it. We rented a Jeep for 3 days and went all around the island and stopped at several beaches. Always felt safe!!! We also got to enjoy downtown and "Mardi Gras" on the island, what fun!! Felt very safe there too. There really was not one complaint that we had. It's a must on our travels and will be going back!! Loved Cozumel and the Palace!! Thanks for everything, Jim and Carla Boies.

Room Tip: The first floor balcony was very small, no hammock so I would recommend the second floor or higher.

My wife and I booked a trip to Cozumel to go diving and snorkeling in the clear warm waters of Yucatan which we had heard about. We needed rest from tough work and family life too. We booked a trip for eight nights.

We left after one.

The experience was dreadful from the start as we were packed into a van for the transfer to the airport. The van seated 10. They crammed in twelve. When we got to the hotel we found the pool is practically in the lobby and there was a screaming, drunken party already underway with grossly overweight, middle aged Americans stuffing themselves with food nearby. Check in took an agonizing 20 minutes and we still were not done as we passed to guest services for selling of activities we didn't care about. The room was nice but once we opened the doors to the balcony, we were overwhelmed by Celine Dion music and fumes from the cruise ships and ferry just upstream. We thought maybe a swim and snorkel would help but the water was too choppy and there was not much too see. By dinner time we were hungry but the Asian restaurant was typical buffet Chinese served with great aplomb by Mayan waiters dressed humiliatingly like Chinamen. We went upstairs to relax and suddenly the entertainment starts; the Mexican Gong Show at the volume of a Guns and Roses concert; more fat drunk Americans acting like idiots to the enjoyment of no one but themselves. Amazingly this "entertainment" went on for three hours and despite closed doors and headphones, there was no escape. Next day we checked out and suddenly were shown nice rooms and people that despised us the day before suddenly seemed to care, almost making it worse. We wasted three thousand dollars, don't do it yourself.

We had a great vacation at Cozumel Palace. The resort was recommended to us by Missy with Beach Bum Vacation. She has booked many beach vacations for us & has never steered us wrong!! The hotel was beautiful, clean & in a great location for walking and shopping. Spent most of our time at the beautiful pool which was kept spotless! Our service was excellent! The people who work at the resorts work very long & hard hours to serve you so tipping them a few dollars was the best money spent on vacation!

My husband, myself, brother and sister-in-law just returned from our 7 day vacation at Cozumel Palace. It exceeded what I was expecting...

I will try to summarize the good and the not-so-good in as little sentences as possible!

The not-so-good first: my brother and SIL where in room 205 and could hear dryers running from about 5am...we were in room 202 and I didn't hear a thing! The hotel has no beach, so the only access to the ocean is by ladder from the pier, or using the concrete walk in...not a big deal really, but if you want beach, go somewhere else. One more complaint is about the crappy plastic lounge chairs around the pool. They don't recline fully and are not really comfortable, but a couple of towels on each chair does help!

The good and the awesome! Employees are incredibly attentive and work their butts off! They made the vacation...a few deserve special mention. Daniel and Gabriel who are half of the entertainment staff are interactive without being overbearing and know your name right away! We were unlucky to have a few days of rain, but they set up poker and blackjack tables in the lobby area and gave us something to do. Amir, Freddy, Jesus and Fili around the pool and at the pool bar never let your glass get empty without another one being replaced as soon you wanted. Edgar, one of the servers at the grill was awesome, he was always ready to serve and made Spanish coffee that was a show in itself! Julietta at the buffet knew who we were the second morning and made sure we didn't ever have any problems. There are many more, and they all work just as hard, just can't mention them all! Yes, we tipped them all, they deserved it!

Our room was about what we were expecting...the bed was comfy, the toiletries left were of good quality and view was pretty good. We were only on the second floor, so the palm trees blocked some of our view...higher up would be better.

The gym was small, but the equipment functioned fine and the view was great! Right above the pool, you could watch the cruise ships come in while jogging!

The food was all very good, although the Oriental restaurant was our least favorite...not bad, just boring other than the sushi! The Mexican restaurant was better and the Italian restaurant was by far the best! I could have eaten there each night! No reservations are great, and there never seemed to be a wait for any of the restaurants...they do a great job and we never felt rushed.

They served snacks each day poolside, and that was a welcome treat. They brought around fresh fruit Popsicles one day, chocolate covered mint ice cream another day, and pineapple something when we were there. Yummy!! They also had fresh popped popcorn, peanuts, chips, tea and coffee in the lobby in the afternoons. A special touch that goes a long way.

The resort credits are worth booking this resort, if no other reason...we upgraded our room, my husband did 4 dives, I went to the spa, we did a snorkeling tour and we swam with the dolphins!! I wouldn't have done some of the things had it not been "free". They also have free phone calls to Canada and the USA. Another gesture that makes it feel like they really do want their gusts to have a great time.

The resort is very clean and located so close to downtown that no cabs are required to do anything or go anywhere...we have stayed in Cozumel 3 times previous to this trip and we were so far south that going into town more than once, or without a car rental wasn't worth it. We did rent a car this time and they dropped the car off at the resort and we left it there when we were done. No hassles and very quick.

We were not hounded to book a time share seminar, in fact, we didn't even get approached by anyone that we didn't fist approach. Booking the excursions with the resort credits took about one hour and we did it first thing in the morning and still made it to breakfast by 8:30! We thought the process was very efficient and streamlined. They did everything they could to make sure we were done quickly...

Without a doubt I could say much more, but the best proof of the experience we had is to say that we are actually going to return here, hopefully at the end of the year, and bring our children with us! The resort was safe, the town is beautiful and the staff just make it so much better!

Happy travels!
