It depends what you're looking for in Cancun. I needed just the one night to fly out the next day from. So for me it was perfect. I wanted to get away from the rush and so the location was great. It's opposite a garden and close to some nice eateries. I was recommended one for dinner which was a local restaurant and delicious and another for breakfast, again delicious. The room was large and clean. The girl at reception was really helpful.

Really nice surprise as stayed for one night at the start of a long road trip and was just for convenience as I wanted to visit Parque de la Palapos. However, the rooms were spacious and well equipped and very quiet. The staff were very helpful also and directed us to places to eat. there are loads of bars and restaurants nearby - whats not to like?

The hotel is located right next to "Palapas" where all the locals go for eating and shopping (super cheap and every bus driver will know where to drop you off).
The bus stop is only a five minute walk away and you can get to the hotel zone and the beaches for not even 1USD per person.
The hotel itself is really clean and cozy. So are the rooms.
The staff is super nice and very helpful!
Couldn‘t be better!

Have a night to kill in Cancun then this is a good place to be located. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the staff were helpful, the square next to the hotel made the stay as it was a lovely family day (Sunday). All in all, great value and a great nights sleep.

If you want to start your time in Mexico being in Mexico among the locals, use this lovely little hotel. Right next door to the Parque de las Palapas, its a 6 minute walk to the ADO bus station, the Ave Tulum and to Chedraui (the local supermarket). Catching the R1 or R2 bus into the Hotel Zone is easy from the Ave Tulum.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable overlooking the small internal courtyard where breakfast was served. Every evening there was something going on in the public square across the street and it was great just to mingle and people watch. In that square were local food vendors in permanent holdings and the food was excellent (who can argue with two quesadillas and a soda for 35 pesos). There were also market stalls. The hotel staff were very warm and friendly and helped me sort out one or two problems with tour bookings, ordered early morning taxis and generally made my start to Mexico perfect.

The Hotel Zone is where to stay if you want manicured lawns, be ripped off on the price of hotel rooms, no hint of any sort of local flavour and nothing of Mexico. By far, staying in Downtown Cancun rubbing shoulders with the local population is superior and the International Suites, Cancun hotel is the place to start.
