If you have come here to relax and get some sun.. you have come to the right place! I absolutely adored the pools at Riu Palace Las Americas in Cancun. We got the ocean front room on level 7, and what a view!! It was so nice after being in America to not have no worry about tipping or getting out the wallet at all- as all our food and drinks were included. It was my first time at an all inclusive resort and Riu Palace laid it on! The food was amazing. They also have a pool bar, so you can sip cocktails in the sun all day and there are entertainment staff to keep everyone entertained.
One downfall I found, was the rooms are slightly dated and the beds were a bit hard, but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. It was a really cool resort and I felt completely safe.
Would stay here again.
Thanks to the staff for making it such a memorable stay :)

Since we had a great experience the first time we were here we decided to go back again. We had a great experience - again! The entertainment crew was great. Diego and the pool bar crew were great!
The hotel is spotless and the staff very friendly. The only thing was we arrrived at 11am and did not get a room until after 3pm. At hotel that size should not have four people sitting in the lobby after traveling for hours for that long. We were also told we would get an upgrade, had a sign for one, but got a standard room. Nice room, but the average. Why try to sell us on something that wasn't actually true? My husband and I found that odd.
The only thing that may have slipped just a little was the food. Plenty to choose from, but nothing better than average with the exception of the cappacino.
That being said, I would still recommend the Riu Palace Las Americas and plan to return. Beautiful place and a great location.

Upon arrival to the hotel, we were met by a representative of the hotel, went to one of the hotel bars and he explained the hotel amenities and how to make dinner reservations, where everything was located, made sure we were happy. The lobby was beautiful, huge and spotless. Guests are required to wear shoes and coverups when in the lobby, no wet floors. We had no trouble getting reservations because we know to make them upon arrival for all week so we can try every restaurant.
The food was good, we tried new and different things and when I was disappointed in my dessert one evening, they graciously brought me a Baked Alaska when I admired my friend's dessert. Food was plentiful and well presented at every meal. The buffet was fresh and had something for everyone from hamburgers to sushi. We were able to go next door to another property to the sports bar one evening and watch our beloved KY Wildcats and enjoy food and drinks as if we were guests at their hotel.
Our rooms were clean and comfy, fridge stocked with drinks and liquor, pools all nice, beach is great, activities every day. Staff always keeps your drinks full, remembers what your drinking, are all polite and don't miss the evening shows! We we recommend the Riu Palace Las Americas to anyone who wants a great Cancun vacation!

Just returned from 2 weeks at riu palace las Americas me and my partner had the best holiday.food is fantastic I would highly recommend krystals and Japanese restaurant and you must see Dennis in the buffet restaurant he will do Anything for u
Staff are fantastic and will do anything they can do to help, especially Pablo on customer services after bank card fiasco.
Rooms are clean daily fresh sheets and towels. Beach bar staff know what drinks u want before you do and keep you well supplied during the day. If u like to go out on nights entertainment staff go to
different clubs each night with free transport and no queuing. Just make sure you take plenty of dollars for tipping waiters in the clubs or they could be slow to reappear. Plenty to do do in cancun even if it raining!
