Our family stayed here in three separate rooms November 2024. Rooms are smallish but nicely appointed. The hot water had spikes in temp all the time, as if flushing a toilet in the building could scald you. The food is ok, not great. I would say every other day was good and I found something that I enjoyed. I had the chicken three times, two were palatable. There is no butter anywhere just margarine. Breakfast is the same every day. I don't drink, but those that did (we were in a party of 100ish) complained about the cheap liquor. I had the oddest massage of my life, that room was freezing cold & they used bait and switch with that pricing. I was with a member who owns a timeshare that they tried to sell an extended one that would have taken him to who knows how old. The gym is nice, but could use a simple foam roller or three, however if they had you prob couldn't find space to actually use it. Transport from the airport is only free for timeshare owners.

We returned yesterday from a wonderful 2 week visit. We have been visiting Cancun for 25 plus year and in Royal Solaris, we have found a second home. After visiting for a week and knowing we would like to take advantage of future trips and perks that come with joining the Solaris family, we met with David Martinez for a presentation and was expecting the normal high pressure pitch. David was very personable and answered all of our questions and really the presentation spoke for itself. David's personal service and help during our stay was incredible. He is not just a representative, but now a friend. Highly recommend you speak to him after staying and enjoying the resort.
Now, on to the stay. The service here is impeccable. From the housekeeping staff, wait staff, entertainment staff, and bellhop staff you will not find better service. Eduardo and Giovvani at the pool bar, Cecilia and Kalimba at the Member's lounge, Javier who is everywhere, you won't find better staff or better people. The specialty restaurants are some of the best you will find in an all-inclusive. We have been looking for our go to in Cancun and have found our second home, Royal Solaris.
Could things be improved? Yes. Changed policy to remove premium alcohol for members from Solaris Pool Bar and only found at Grand Caribe Pool Bar next door. We provided this feedback and hope policy will change. The buffets could use some change in menu during your stay but that is normal for almost all Cancun all inclusives. Highly recommend Royal Solaris. It will exceed most if not all of your expectations.

Room tip: Oceanfront rooms are by fart he best option. You will get some road noise on Lagoon Side.

Loved my stay at the Royal Solaris! Our room was lovely and clean. We loved going to the Marco Polo restaurant for dinner :) Had the best caramel mousse dessert there! Stephany was the loveliest host and always say us with a smile and asked how we were. The pools were lovely but just wished that there was more shade because we couldn’t always have the umbrellas up…but the beach was nice and the ocean was beautiful. Overall, had a great stay and would go back again!

The one bedroom suite was Great, in spite of the maintenance issue in the bathroom that they fix right away but unfortunately same issue return! Our representative was always attentive to our needs. The people of the pool buffet at the GR were great! I ask for something they don’t have in the buffet and they make them
For me. And Mayrita take care of my margaritas keep coming! 🥰

AWFUL…DO NOT BOOK!
Although designated as a Gold Crown by RCI, this resort falls so far short of Gold Crown status. Here’s why…

Solaris operates 100% on guest segregation. RCI members have the lowest status at this resort. Solaris owners wear a Gold wrist band and all other guests wear other colors. RCI members wear green which is the lowest level band at Solaris. A few examples are lower-level food menus, lower level liquor options too much thinner pool towels and everything else in between is sub-standard.

Upon arrival at the resort, as an RCI member, I was ushered past the general reception desk and into a side room where the timeshare sales team passed themselves off as our exclusive concierge during our stay. Their ulterior motive was to gain our buy-in to get a timeshare meeting scheduled. I made it clear that I was not interested in attending, let alone buying another timeshare, but their pressure was relentless. Even their incentives (free airport transfer, free photo session, free massage was not enough value to incentivize me to attend the meeting. A note to RCI is that the timeshare vampires touted that the majority of their new sales came from RCI owners due to their dissatisfaction with their current timeshare arrangements.

Regardless of which level guest you are designated by your wrist band, the food for the most part is tasteless. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but the seating is designated by colored wrist bands. Unfortunately, we could not find authentic Mexican dishes for lunch, nor dinner. Really?!
THE ALL-INCLUSIVE FEE IS OVER A $1,000 US FOR DISGUSTING FOOD AND THE MENUS DON’T CHANGE FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK!

We regret if the impression you received was different. As you mentioned, RCI guests wear a green bracelet in order to quickly identify them. Our stay was AMAZING. Became Members and the vacation got even better.

Maya from the pool area was always attentive to us. She had the best drinks and was always available to provide the best service.

Carlos and Marco from Rosamarius were stellar servers! Carols made breakfast so comfortable and memorable. While Marco served dinner with such stellar service.

Carmen kept the rooms so clean and decorated the beds so lovely. My kids came into the room in awe of her creations.

They made the experience so special. The whole family looked forward to seeing them, especially the kids.

Looking forward to going back next year for that 5 star experience.
