I'm honestly sad to write this review. Been members for several years & Solaris was our home away from home. But through the years, the quality of this hotel has gone down dramatically. It's not the same feeling of being proud to be a member, I'm actually embarrassed to refer this hotel to my friends. Right now, GR caribe (sister hotel next door) is closed for renovation which means there are less restaurant options and caribe pool & pool bar is closed. We completely understand & looking forward to seeing some improvements & updates & It would not have been a problem, regardless of still paying full price as if the sister hotel was open; but.... the food choices available for Royal Solaris was so bad, buffet everyday & menu for ala cart dinner was the same while we were there for 10 days! We went out a couple of times for dinner as we we're already getting fed up! Please address the birds situation at Rosmarinus on a regular basis & not only when the boss' daughter is having a birthday party! Not cool! We even saw the birds eating from the buffet! Yuck! Also, What happened to Mauricio? He was the best mixologist, so talented & I truly enjoyed his drinks at the bar premier, other members were also upset that he was no longer there. The pool water was too warm, 93F (Apple Watch reading) no need for jacuzzi! Not refreshing at all. AC is often not working in the lobby or Las Fuentes restaurant. I must admit that the only reason we kept coming back to this hotel is because they have the most amazing waiters, pool bartenders, restaurant captains & staff that we have known for years! They can't do anything about the menu or how the management is running the company but they always go above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. These people are amazing; Darwin, Fabian, Eduardo, Irma, Laura Pat, Auri, Omar (pool), Javier (pool) Melchor, Kalimba, Richar (now Ricardo) Ricky, Carlos and Bernardo. Claudia, our member's representative was very helpful & often checked on us & asked if we needed anything. I also had the best massage with Evelio. These people makes this place special & I hope the management acknowledges this & treat them well.
