The worst experience ever.Had toilet problems the whole time.Everything closed at 11.Couldn't even get a bottle of water.Food was horrible.Not a great selection at all.They had issues giving us extra bath towels.No fridge or microwave in the room.The picture u see is very misleading.Place is rundown.

A run down hotel with minimal service. Our room was so noisy due to the hotel next door blasting their aircon. The room had stiff mattresses and uncomfortable pillows.

The only positive was aircon worked and wifi was strong.

Great holiday, staff were friendly and helpful, great location, hotel needs some work, but it's still a good hotel to stay in, the hotel also allows you to see turtles at night lay their eggs and put baby turtles in the sea when hatched ! definitely coming back to cancun !

The price was right in November 2016 - $60 per night. Great for the value. Do not expect anything EXTRA. Even a phone call to your shuttle to the airport will coast you. No calls out from the room , only to front desk. Clean bed, shower, TV. View to the parking lot. This is a place to sleep and shower, nothing else. Drinks at the pool bar are the worst! $5 margaritas was a BIG mistake, go out or buy everything at the supermarket. Buses run every 5 min to take you anywhere. 5 min walk to the best seafood restaurant NAVIOS. I would stay there again but this year they doubled the price. May be they fixed the walls that were caving in at your touch.

The good:
We only paid $600 for flights, lodging and food per person. You can't expect an American quality hotel for that price.
The hotel was in a great spot and the beach was stunning. We stayed out there all day every day.
The rooms needed to be updated but for the most part were clean in the beginning.
The WiFI was decent in the lobby, you don't come to Cancun to play on your phone so I'm not sure why people are whining about that.
The breakfast was great when there wasn't a huge line at the omelette station.

The Bad:
Aside from the breakfast, the food was almost inedible. The fish never looked fresh and the fruit and salads were always warm. It looked like they tried to mimic certain American dishes but had no idea what it actually was so you ended up with pineapple and bananas in mashed potatoes and a ham/mustard/fruit salad. At least I didn't gain too much weight.
There wasn't any AC in our room whatsoever, which would have been nice since we were in a humid jungle.

The Awful:
The service of the employees was a deal-breaker for us. Hardly any of them speak any English and I don't think the resort pays them anything at all based on how they treat you when you ask for anything. They scowl when they see you approaching, you ask for a drink and they literally just stare at you until you put a tip in the jar. The guy at the grill didn't do anything for us except scowl and nod his head placatingly until 3 days later when I realized he wasn't going to do anything for me until I tipped him first (not exactly how tipping is supposed to work).
We were planning on tipping the maids who cleaned our room at the end of the week, until they decided that us not tipping every day was unacceptable and refused to come back to clean or refill anything on day 4. We ran out of toilet paper on the last day and we called to ask the front desk if someone could get us any more twice and nobody ever came. We had to borrow some from the other couple we were traveling with. No tip for you and no return visit.

All in all, we enjoyed the beach immensely for the price. Next time we'll opt for an Iberostar where the employees actually get paid something though.
