“7 days at Beach Palace”
Reviewed 20 June 2012

It has been 25 years since we have been in Cancun and we was pleasantly surprised. Our stay at the Beach Palace was great not only because of the nice rooms and the lanai that overlooked the
turquois water and the white sand beach, but because the wait staff was very helpful and accommodating. Whether it was just my husband and myself or our larger group of 14, the staff would make sure we had what we needed. For instance, Ernesto helped us sit together as a group and made me a mochaccino (or two) at breakfast every morning. Gabriell made the best omelets and always with a smile. We felt like they really cared about us and it wasn't just a job. Daniel waited on our every need up at the sundeck and Victor took care of us in the Sports Bar. The wait staff really made our vacation special. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants at the resort. We walked the beaches, did water aerobics and utilized the work out room. We always had plenty to do because we were able to utilize other palace resorts and visit those areas such as Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel. Thank you for a great time! With love from Minnesota

Room Tip: Tell them whether you want ocean view with the sunrise or lagoon view with beautiful sunsets.

My family traveled to Beach Palace in June of 2012. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff at check in was great after a long day of travel. Welcome smoothies were a hit with the kids, and we did stop back by several times during our stay for another "welcome smoothie".
We had a Family Suite, basically adjoining rooms, one with a king bed and one with 2 doubles. The Family Suite did allow us to have 2 bathrooms which was very important to us. Everything was kept very clean for our entire stay. I was very impressed with the housekeeping. The beds were fine, better than some hotels, but mostly just average hotel beds. The rooms were divine in the way of amenities. We had great hair and bath products, robes and slippers, chocolates and treats every night. The "parents" room had a mini bar with 4-5 different liquors, soft drinks, juices and water. The "kids" room was stocked with soft drinks, water, juices and chocolate milk. The kids room also had candy and beach treats upon check in. A very nice suprise.
We loved all the pool areas, they were all kept very clean and tidy at all times. Our waitress at the pool most days was Yadira. LOVED her. She was so friendly and sweet at all times and would even come by to warn you she was going on a break. We very much enjoyed the Sports and Entertainment crew - Jesus, Eduardo, Josha, and Nancy. They were fabulous, went above and beyond to keep everyone entertained. The kids club was great too. My 10 yr old wanted to go there every day, and my 13 yr old would hang out to play wii some days when he was a little bored at the pool all day. Fernanda and Karla were the bomb! My children loved them and loved the craft ideas they came up with. We brought home a suitcase full of arts/crafts.
Our favorite restaurant was Terraza outside overlooking the ocean. We did enjoy all the sit down restaurants and the buffet. The buffet food was just what you would expect from a buffet anywhere. I thought there would be a bit more authentic mexican food somewhere in the resort, but all in all we had a great dining experience.
There was always something going on at night for entertainment. We enjoyed all the shows, but especially loved the Michael Jackson and the fire show. They were great.
We had 1500 resort credits to spend while there. Our family of 4 did the Chichen Itza tour and the SubSee/Snorkle tour. i had a massage at the spa and we still had 591 credits when we checked out. I guess if you booked something EVERYDAY, you could use them all, but we were in the market for relaxation.
Chichen Itza tour was fantastic, but a VERY, VERY long day. A 3 hour bus ride there and 3 hours back. Stopped for lunch at a market place and then had about 2 hours at Chichen Itza. I did not expect the flea market atmosphere at the ancient ruins, but that is the only way to describe it. You had to walk through aisles of stuff on tables for sale and people cat-calling you to buy things in order to get to the ruins. The ruins themselves were facinating and our tour guide, Erick was wonderful.
The SubSee/Snorkel was ok. The submarine part of the tour made almost everyone sick. It was not really worth it and and I would skip that part next time. The snorkling tour was very fast paced and crowded. Not my favorite activity and I was kicked so many times that my mask finally broke. After the official tour, you are allowed to snorkel around the boat while waiting for the water taxi to return. That was our favorite part of the tour. We saw more fish during that part than during the crowded official tour.
The massage at the spa with Sandra was one of the best massages I have ever had. I also very much enjoyed the steam room and sauna. Elizabeth was a treat to welcome you to the spa.
Overall we loved our stay at Beach Palace. I would definately recommend to a friend and would return. The only "con" I can think of is the saving of chairs at the pool by the staff. It was worse on the weekend, and we could hardly find a chair, but relaxed a bit during the week. I would guess that out of 100 or so chairs around the pool they were saving 50 or more with towels and books. My advice would be to get up early and lay a shirt or sunscreen on the chairs you want.

Our family of six (including two children under age 10) just returned from the Beach Palace and what a wonderfultime we had!

Although we got off to a horrible start, thanks to a 10 hour delay compliments of Sunwing Airlines, from the time we arrived at the front desk until check-out, the staff was nothing but accommodating.

The rooms were spectacular, contemporary and larger than any other room at any other resort I've ever visited. There was even a pull-out sofa witha twin size bed. The fridge was stocked well with cold drinks along with a bottle of champagne and wine.. The whirlpool hot tub was a super nice touch. Exhausted and hungry, we checked in at nearly 6:00 AM and was so thankful that room service was available :)

The food was excellent! Breakfast was the best! All of the things that you've read about Gabriella is true - she is Fantastic! Wehad a chance to visit allof the restaurants and had no complaints about any of them. Shout out to Alberto (David) at the Italian Restaurant, Raphael at the Steakhouse and Carlos at the Asian Restaurant. A most gracious and warm Thank You to Yadira (at the pool bar) for exceptional service!

The beach was incredible...so was the pool. Our kids LOVED the kids club as much as they loved playing in the sand. Overall, we had a Fantastic Family Vacation and look forward to returning to the Beach Palace!!

My husband and I just returned from our 7th anniversary vacation. Beach Palace is simply amazing. Staff is very accommodating, polite and professional. Ivan from the Tequila Restaurant took exceptional care of us. He also coordinated our last dinner with them, which was fantastic. Yinet, our waitress at the pool was exceptional. She was more than a waitress, she became a friend. Our room was perfect. We would recommend Beach Palace to anyone, whether you are going with your spouse, family, friends, solo or on a business trip.
