within walking, or a short bus ride, into the center of all the resorts, the Westin feels far away when sitting by the shore. Releasing endangered turtles was a special highlight. The pool had plenty of seats. Loved the amount of cabanas and umbrellas. Spa was good if small. Concierge was top notch.

My husband and I recently stay at the resort for a quick 4 day getaway. It was our first time visiting this resort. The gounds were very beautiful and well maintained. The pool areas are gorgeous with plenty of lounge chairs. The views of the beach are spectacular! We particularly enjoyed Michael the swim up pool bartender! He was so friendly and fun! Plus he was willing to share his fabulous drink recipes! The restaurants were fine, but nothing extraordinary. There is no nightlife at the resort that we could find. While we enjoyed getting away from the snow and cold, there were a few cloudy/rainy windy and chilly moments. The beach is beautiful, with fine white sand, but with the wind, the red flags were out. All in all, I would recommend this resort as a quiet vacation spot. If you are looking for a lively party atmosphere, then this is not the resort for you. We would love to return to this resort someday!

Great location and good food. Good vacation experience. We had a fantastic concierge. Emma B. makes life as easy as you can get. Sets up tours etc., and reservations for you and all you have to do is do it.

We recently returned from a 10 day stay at this resort. Overall, the stay was good. The Studio room was perfect for the two of us. Beautiful view of the gorgeous beach from building 14 on the 5th floor. The staff were all amazing, except for the night we called to complain at 2:30am about rowdy, very noisy, people in the hot tub below our balcony. We called twice and were told "they would take care of the problem". Not !
We witnessed a security guard talking to the people in the hot tub but the minute the guard was gone, the "party" resumed. We were unable to sleep from 2:30am on. The next morning we discussed this with a manager at the front desk who said there had been other complaints and that they would talk to the offenders. I do have to say that there was no more partying in the hot tub after that incident; however, I was greatly disappointed that we received no follow up call from management to make sure all was good. We were also inconvenienced by both of our room keys suddenly being "disabled" one day for no reason. We had quite a walk from building 14 to the front desk to get them activated again and no apology or explanation was offered. Also, the day we were leaving we were nicely granted out request for late check out (12 noon). However, we were not told that we would need to bring our keys back to the front office at 10am (normal check out time) to ge them reactivated. So we had another bad experience of not being able to get into our room and had to hike back to the front desk. Overall, our stay was good. Love the sports bar, the infinity pool and beach. Enjoyed steak night at Oceana. Hotel location is great !

The Westin Lagunamar in Cancun will live in infamy as one of our family's favorite hotel stays ever. The suites are large, immaculately clean, and absolutely beautiful. The service at the front desk was top-notch.The bed was extremely comfortable and the fact that every room has a balcony was amazing. We were traveling with our two kids, and having an in-room washer and dryer was the ultimate convenience and luxury as a mom traveling with kids! The grounds of this hotel were well-kept and beautiful. We loved the infinity pools, the waterslide, the hot tubs, and my 3-year especially loved the kid's pool. The beach front location is fantastic, and there is a mall right across the street with plenty of places to shop and eat. The clientele is largely U.S. American. We all loved our stay and experience at this hotel and could not recommend it highly enough, whether you traveling as a family, a couple, or solo, this hotel will not disappoint! We definitely hope to be back at the Westin Lagunamar someday!
