Located right across the street from the city's central plaza it offers short walks to everything you want to see in Veracruz. The rooms are spotless and large. The patio area out front is a perfect place to kick back with a drink and people watch. Service is great and they have a smoking section where you can enjoy a cigar from the San Andres Valley south of Veracruz. The second floor pool area overlooks the plaza and is another place to relax after a day of sightseeing. I will be booking another trip soon and look forward to staying here again!

We came back to stay in this hotel it is central and very comfortable.
Close to the Zocalo and harbour in walking distance.
The rooms are clean and big this time we were on the other side of the building.
After a warm day and work we had a nice swim in the roof swimming pool.
This time we used room service what was very nice.
Had several meals in the restaurant, Sunday buffet and nice lunch.

Room Tip: No preference for a room, but still would suggest on the side not at the front overlooking the zocalo.

Great hotel. Excellent location. Just like the gran hotel de la ciudad de mexico! This hotel is in front of the zocalo in Veracruz. The price is great for the quality of the hotel and it's amenities. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel for a very reasonable price.

This is a grand old hotel in the center of the city. The room was spacious, very clean and had a powerful shower! The staff were friendly and helpful. Some rudimentary knowledge of Spanish is helpful in Veracruz, because not much English is spoken. The hotel restaurant serves a solid breakfast and the bar makes a mean Mojito. The hotel is not luxurious, but I've paid a lot more for accommodations not nearly as good.
