I spent a week in this hotel and really enjoyed my stay. It was fantastic. Clean rooms, the service was really helpful and the food was just amazing as the restaurant, I will go back at 2nd time in Sep 2014.

In central location for carneval but really worn down and loud...

rooms with mould, torn bedsheets and grey, old towels ... shower badly working with encrusted with scale....

breakfast not worth the money - better place oposite for a coffee

though nothing fancy, the Ziami is in a good location close to the beach and Malecon, and a short 15 minute walk to the Zocalo. It's pretty cheap and the hotel staff is very nice. (Although there was one young man who insisted on speaking English to me everytime I spoke in Spanish, although my Spanish was as good as his English and we were in Mexico, after all). They have wireless internet and free fresh water (in a jug in each hallway, so you can fill up a water bottle). Don't buy the breakfast online when you reserve though because you'll get charged about as much as the full "Americano" breakfast costs at the hotel restaurant, but you'll get served the continental. Better to wait and buy the Americano breakfast at the hotel. We liked the local restaurants, particularly the Alvaradorian across the street and one block towards the beach. Having said this, I think if I were ever to return to this area I would stay closer to Boca Del Rio, which is a nicer area, and just visit Veracruz via the bus (which is really cheap and goes right along the coast).
