Hotel Emilia

Overall it is a very nice hotel "Taxco" style for an "ok" price. The lobby is welcoming, the hotel staff was very friendly and the location is perfect. One block from the main square with the Santa Prisca church, yet accessible with a bigger car! Beware that to some hotels you can't get with a minivan because of the narrow streets of Taxco. To this one you can (we had a Sprinter which is even bigger than minivan).

The street was quite noisy, but that is how the Taxco center is overall.

The rooms are very nice with wooden heavy doors and tasty decoration. But while the room could easily fit a 4 stars hotel, the bathroom was very disappointing! Old, ugly and with broken tiles.

Room Tip: My room was interior and I felt there was a lack of fresh air. Next time I would probably go for the...

Very friendly staff, coozy little hotel and probably good value for money because I think that the standard in general is a bit "lower" in Taxco as it is a bit older. But don't expect same standard as in Mexico city etc. Nice location, VERY beautiful city with excellent scenery. If you have the ability take a taxi (the offer guided tours and will take you to all the special sights in the city, like the mirador -where you can take nice panoramic pictures, silver factory where you can see how the work with silver jewelry etc, and of course the posas azules! SOOOOOOO worth the visit, feels like hawaii with a beautiful little "water fall" and lagoon-feeling where you can bath. Entrence only costs around 20 pesos por person but bring food, or picnic, you can buy sodas and snacks at the entrence but not much else.

The could have shaped up the "roof terrace", there is excellent views so why not use it and buy sun beds or something.

Just two blocks Downill from the main square. Pleasand and quiet. No restaueant on site but we were allowed to have that across the street in Los Arcos. Restaurant Sotavento. Very close to many silver outlets and one block from Casa Humboldt.

We stayed here for a business trip. The location is ideal for what we needed. The ambiance is lovely and the staff is very very helpful. The hotel has the true old Mexico feel to it. They are currently updating the bathrooms and showers. Lots of hot water and plenty of room. We recommend this hotel .

I stayed for two nights in this cute and affordable hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, hotel staff friendly and efficient and the location couldn't be beat. The only downsides were the shower, which lacked a bit of pressure, and the ambient noise from the street below. But for $50 a night, I would definitely stay here again.
