My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of February. The hotel is excellent value for the money. The hotel features simple, clean rooms with good beds and pillows. There are two pretty courtyards for morning coffee or an afternoon visit. The staff is friendly and helpful. And, the location is perfect: a ten minute walk to the Zocalo. There are several good breakfast spots in the area. If you want high end luxury, look elsewhere. But if you want a reasonable, reliable hotel, this is a good choice.

this is a wonderful hotel/hostel with two areas - the hostel area where you share w/c facilities, and an upper area where you have private baths. both are well-kept and clean.

prices are very good, and the posada is centrally located. it has a rooftop meeting area too. the garden is wonderful with lots of blooming flowers and shade - tables and chairs too!

i recommend this place to the max!

Room Tip: always inspect rooms (especially the plumbing) *before* checking in - much easier to change if they haven't written down anything yet.

Clean room, water in gallons provided throughout the hotel. Beautifully decorated and bright, with Mexican touches throughout the exterior. Lockers provided if you need to check out and need to store your luggage. I was allowed early check in which was nice. Breakfast not provided but they do have hot coffee in mugs near the check out desk in the mornings. I was also given recommendations of a good breakfast place nearby. Very convenient since it was close to all the main attractions although like many hotels throughout Mexico, can be noisy from all the traffic noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the back further away from the noise

This Hotel was very close to the zocalo in Oaxaca city. Very clean and beautiful. Restaurant is next to the hotel. Some of the staff speaks English, which was helpful. Rooms were of good size. Have rooms that share bathrooms or private rooms. Price was good.

Lovely hotel. We chose to stay in a more typical accommodation and were recommended La Posada del Centro. Nothing fancy but very nice room and lovely courtyard were to rest for a coffee or a drink.
Staff was courteous and nearby there are various cafe where to get a typical Mexican breakfast - just ask for recommendations at the reception!
