I was going to be so complementary about this hotel. It is located a little away from the centre so it is quiet. When you enter you just see beautiful things and smell wonderful, huge lilies. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful and everything seems to be lovely. Maybe it was just our room that wasn’t good, though it’s taken 3 nights for. Me to finally be really fed up with it.
Never mind the sink plug that doesn’t respond to its lever, or the non opening windows because NO windows open in the hotel, I am now really fed up with the shower that produces water but not a lot, and lets me get all soaped up before deciding to stop the water, that had gone cold anyway. Had to use the other, hand held shower to get any water, but no hot at all.
And the air conditioning that not only doesn’t work properly, but is situated opposite a bed, mine, so the air is directed at me, as the fins don’t flap up and down properly. so far, 3 delightful people have been in to try to sort it, but no joy and I am truly fed up. Thank god we leave tomorrow.
BUT, if I knew other rooms were okay, I’d stay here again.

Room Tip: Don’t have room 12.

This is a very nice hotel with great service and restaurant in a slightly quieter neighborhood than the cacophony of downtown Oaxaca. 8-10 minutes walk to any of the major stuff. If you get tired while in town any taxi is 40-50pesos back to hotel.

Open air Restaurant on 2nd floor is lovely and has great breakfast choices at reasonable rates. Or there are many coffee shops nearby.

Our king room (#13 2nd floor away from restaurant) had comfy bed, nice walk-in shower & good AC. No windows which I thought would be bad but makes for a wonderful dark room at night. No waking with the heat or sun!

This was a wonderful hotel, very clean, fresh flowers everywhere, comfortable room and spacious shower. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you're in the mood for Italian food after a while, the upstairs restaurant was delicious. Overall, a great stay! Recommended!

We needed a room for one night, and it was pretty last minute so we didn't expect much. But it was better than expected, although the only thing was that our room didn't have any windows to outside. It was on the first floor looking into the common areas so there was less privacy, and you have to keep the curtains closed all the time. Otherwise, the hotel was nice, it was pretty clean and the little pool upstairs at breakfast was pleasant. They also let us park in the property and locked the gate when we arrived late.

The hotel is set in a beautiful courtyard. Nice spacious rooms with windows facing the courtyard. One downside is that curtains need to be kept shut for privacy, so the lights in the room always have to be on. Great location - it took less than 10 minutes to walk to town. There is a restaurant with a nice city view. For the price it would be good if a basic breakfast was included. The breakfast was good but pricey! Only other downside was that our room was very noisy. From about 6am noise from the restaurant disturbed us. We mentioned this to the reception who were not very sympathetic and unfortunately no other rooms were available. Aside from that we enjoyed the hotel and found the staff helpful.
