The Red Tree House is an all around beautiful place.

Beautiful: architecture, interior design, landscaping, food, Abril, staff.

Simply put it's awesome.

Great location, within a short walk to the Metro which can take you almost anywhere in Mexico City for 3 pesos! Thats like less than a quarter. Great places to eat at within walking distance of the RTH. Beautiful parks, buildings to look at, people, etc.... Bed was super soft and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Every morning a new traditional Mexican dish was made for me with the addition of fresh melon, pineapple, Mexican pastries, fresh orange juice, yogurts, etc...

I look forward to making the Red Tree House the place I will always stay when in Mexico City. I'll definately be referring all my friends to stay here when they go.

Great B&B in a great location with a friendly, helpful staff. Our room was a tad small -- if the bathroom and closet doors were open at the same time, you were pretty much trapped, and there were very few drawers -- but clean and well-appointed. When we return -- and we will -- we will definitely stay in the lovely Condesa area.

We really enjoyed our stay and this is the first time I have ever given a place 5 stars.

OK some of the rooms are a bit small, there are no plugs in the sink ( important for shavers ), and some of the sheets could be a bit newer but the professionalism personal touch and passion by the owners/managers shone through.

The guests were great too and every night after we had consumed several glasses of Craig's wine many of us went out together

I made a mistake in my booking for the last night and the owners even gave up their own room for us - what hospitality

Great place. Much recommended.

I had found this place for my parents who were travelling with us to Mexico City. We stayed in a hotel at the top of Parque de Mexico for two nights and then here for a night.

At 85USD/night this is not by any means a cheap sleep in Mexico City but the price is justified. The decor of this B&B (but It's more a boutique hotel really) is modern, striking and very attractive. The common areas are full with interesting artefacts, books and works of art. There is a hi-fi, grand piano, internet and a guest kitchen. At the rear of the hotel there is a courtyard garden around which many of the rooms are located.

The bedrooms are magnificently appointed and designed in a contemporary and individual style. In-room safes, ceiling fan, wifi access and cable TV. There is also a very thoughtfully compiled guest handbook with many useful entries of restaurants, shops, bars, taquerias etc.... this is a real help. The guest kitchen has a supply of bottled water for guests which again is commendable. Bathroom was well appointed and there was ample hot water - would have liked a little more water pressure but this was adequate.

Breakfast is included and is an excellent selection of fruit, cereal, yogurt etc with a hot dish prepared by the muchachas. We had some really good blue corn quesadillas when we stayed with a particularly good salsa verde (hot!)

So.. by this point we were thinking that this place is good... then there is the staff....

All members of staff really went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we wanted. They were really helpful and suggested some sight seeing itineraries that we could build in to our schedule as well as recommending bars, restaurants, shops etc.. they were genuinely interested in their guests and take their role, to make sure everyone is completely satisfied, very seriously indeed.

This is a truly exceptional place to stay. Full marks! Would definitely return when I am next in Mexico City.
