Really not much to add. From all the other reviews. Great location. Nice breakfast. Beautiful courtyard and indoor seating areas for happy hour and breakfast. Great decorations and artwork throughout. Rooms are all unique.
But.....The real key ingredient is the staff. Not only are they knowledgeable and professional but you sense their enjoyment of their job. You also sense how they work as a team. There is no pecking order. Drivers, managers, receptionist, kitchen help , people who clean the rooms, they all give you the sense they care about each other and they care about you as a guest.
This atmosphere makes this a unique property in this world. We have been in some corporate hotels where you can tell the staff is trained to act like this but at the RTH it comes from hiring the best people and it is natural.
There are some rooms that are hard to get to if you have problem with stairs but when booking let them know as there are many rooms that are accessible.
The Red Tree House makes your vacation that much more special.

I have now stayed at The Red Tree House 4 times in the past 4 years, and every time it is the same warm, comfortable, delightful experience. The staff remembers us, and everyone goes out of his or her way to make our visits to Mexico perfect in every way. In the past, the only slight problem was that cab drivers sometimes found it difficult to find the hotel, but Uber has solved all that, and if you make sure you can use your cellphone in Mexico, you will fine that it is as easy to get around as it is in your home town!

Room Tip: Second-floor rooms will be quieter after 8 AM when breakfast is served on the patio.

First trip to the Red Tree House, and we came back ready to book a return. Wonderful and welcoming experience. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts, this was among the most engaging.

Our room in the “branch “ across the street was fine, but the experience was really all about the staff and others staying there. We had many interesting conversations over breakfast and happy hour, really appreciated the staff working to make connections between people, and also really appreciated the staff’s warmth and recommendations.

We really enjoyed the area, did a lot of walking, and ate very well in several restaurants nearby. Uber works well and is incredibly cheap, but walking is also great for seeing daily life.

The Red Tree House is a wonderful base for a visit to Mexico City. Located on a quiet street in the Condesa, a tree lined , safe and lovely residential neighborhood of Mexico City, the Hotel was for us perfect. We were in the Junior suite Studio- which is located on the street side, with a lovely porch that overlooked the world around us- we sat and read there in the late afternoon sun and listened to the birds and watched the world go by- highly recommended and quite private room- a little noisy sometimes as the sweet potato guy with the steam whistle would venture by in the the day but we slept soundly-
The breakfasts are simply delicious- wine happy hour fun and educational and a time to meet new folks -staff found us a car and driver to take us to the Pyramids and guide us- and had good restaurant and shopping recommendations- we loved the dog Romeo and we will be back-

Room Tip: Studio , a Junior suite on the street was private and spacious

A wonderful retreat to learn, share and enjoy the people of Mexico City and the people who come from around the world to enjoy Mexico City! From the moment you arrive to the time of your departure you are treated as beloved friends and family. The accommodations are simple and complete, the breakfast is divine with wonderful care to each diner. Craig one of the owners is always interested in the guests and how they chose the Red Tree House. Will return to either the Mexico City location or the new one on the Pacific Coast!
