We had dinner and drink here on our first night in Mexico City, the food was average, but they had a great selection of beers, and a fantastic view over the square.

The view is awesome. The beverages were good! Good prices! I went at 6 pm and wanted to try the menu del dia, but the waiter told me that they don't have it anymore, it was a shame, I wanted to try it. I ordered an Hamburger with Chapulines, it was good, but I think it could be better. Anyway its a good option!

The place is nice and the attention excellent. but the view! the view of the zocalo alone is worth the visit!
The food is great, local fare, some fancy and exotic ingredients too. And the local craft beer makes the experience complete. perfect for any foodie and micro-brew enthusiasts. the waiters will even suggest pairings and what to try next.

If you need to rest your feet while walking around the centro historico, this plae will do that, delight your palate and quench your thirst with the so-hard-to-find mexican craft beers.

If you are looking for good mexican food while you enjoy the beautiful view to the Zócalo from the 4th floor, Tlatoanis is a great option.

They serve authentic mexican food in a very relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. You can get some of the combos that include a soup, main course, tortillas and fresh water, you will be totally satisfied.

To get to the restaurant you will need to take the lift in between the shops, it is easy to find and if you ask everyone could tell you. There are many options in this area and Tlatoanis is an excellent one.

I will come back to his place without any doubt.

Tlatloanis is located on the 4th floor of a building facing the Zócalo. You'll have to enter the commercial building and head to the elevator in the back. From there it's relatively straightforward. This place is pretty simple but for the great beer selection from all over Mexico. I asked for the craft beer menu and they brought a dry erase board over - seems like they have a rotating selection. The waiter was very knowledgeable about flavors and varieties. I went with the Perro del Mar IPA from a brewery in Ensenada, BC and it was fantastic. Had the mixed platter of Antojitos Mexicanos that included a sope and some other things, pretty good. I think they might have a menu in English? Not sure, I didn't ask. I'd definitely recommend!
