Rosetta is in a lovely old world villa, with rooms full of character. Our expectations were exceeded.. the setting is romantic, service discreet yet efficient, every dish was tasty with good presentation. We had a wonderful dinner, sitting in the garden room with skylight overhead... all the other tables filled up and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. We did, and we definitely hope to return to Mexico City some day, and come back for another meal.

An impressive doorway leads to this Roma mansion's porte cochere. Stairs to the right take you up to the romantic interior; straight ahead, a tree-studded patio opens beneath leafy vines and a high, translucent ceiling. Here my daughter and I enjoyed a fabulous early dinner. Inspired menus constantly change to take advantage of seasonal ingredients; our choices were invariably gorgeous to behold and exquisite-tasting; for further evidence, see the photos posted to Rosetta's listing. We enjoyed a rocket salad with a pesto-like dressing that featured chicatanas (flying ants); perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a zesty lemon sauce; a small bowl of fresh mussels, octopus and chunks of sea bass; and yellow mole. Service was attentive but unhurried. Reservations suggested.

This charming restaurant is in the North Roma area of Mexico. Dining tables are on several different floors throughout the mansion. Each room with similar charm. The food is really good and the price above average but not outrageous. Dinner for two with 3 drink each ran approx $140 really not bad for the amount and quality of the food. The sea snail carpaccio in a lemon, onion ,vinaigrette sauce was recommended by the house and it did not disappoint. Most of it was pretty tender with a couple of rubber pieces too. The Beetroot citrus peppermint salad was very tasty but lacked any peppermint taste. The lobster tagliolini with chili was also really good with a healthy portion of Lobster. The beef short rib over polenta was also really well season and prepared. One of the highlights was the dessert named Mamey, Pixtle and Taxcalate - which they had a hard time translating but said it was the house specialty. It was mango slices over a mango type sorbet wrapped in a white whip cream like substance. It is a really hard dessert to translate but it is a tasty house specialty and worth a try. You will be glad you did. Don’t miss this tasty place on your trip to Mexico City.

This is a STEAL.. very bad service from the hostess and the waiters the food is not very good, they only charge because of the “supposed fame” they have but is a very bad restaurant.

The food does not qualify for even “very good” they charge as much as 3 times for a regular restaurant.
