I do not have too much experience in this type of food (Asian), but my feeling was good. We ate good, every dish we ordered was tasty and very nice presented. The table has a small stove, so the staff can cook your order in front of you. They bring and present the raw ingredients (vegetables, meat, fish) and cook them with you/in front of you
The service offered by Viridiana, our waitress was excellent, professional.
It is not cheap but I think it was worth, being my first experience in this type of restaurants.

i have been to that place 10 times, It started offering very high quality food and great Shabu Shabu. last weekend I was there for lunch and it happened what had to happen with local chains that do not want to compete with global chains... The quality went down and i got a rotten piece of tuna that smelled horrible. I t is a shame because it can be dangerous specially for kids!! I believe that it os very pricy fopr them not to have a strict quality control. If you are in that neighbourhood, you would rather go to NOBU or Suntory. I suggest it´s not worth taking the risk at Jin San for the price you pay and for what you can get at other restaurants in the zone. In my case I will never go back!

The sesame crusted fish fillet, the rib eye wrapped asparagus and the tiradito with hibiscus salt and citrus were spectacular!

If you're in the centre of Mexico City and looking for tasty Asian food and a dining experience with a twist, this might be the place for you.

Most of the menu items are a fusion of Asian cuisines (leaning towards Japanese and Chinese I think), just like the name suggests. In the centre of each large table is a small stove with which the friendly and attentive wait staff cook your dishes.

They present you the raw ingredients, ask in what order you'd like to cook them, or even leave you to do it yourself. This way you can make sure the deliciously petit cuts of meat and vegetables are cooked just how you want them. One particular dish is a combination of surf and turf, delivered to the table with a trio of delicious sauces. Very tasty indeed.

Wash it down with Sake or Sapporo beer, and finish with the flaming strawberries, and you have the recipe for a very pleasant, relaxed, dining experience... until you see the bill, which may be a little on the high side compared to the plethora of basic Chinese buffets/restaurants in the area. Gochisōsama deshita (bon appetit)!

Best part of restaurant is the fish tank and the restrooms. Worst part is the management, with the actual meal coming a close second. Staff on the floor outnumbered the customers. Very uncomfortable gaggle of waiters, managers and waitresses always hovering within 2 or 3 meters. We had drinks, appetizers, salads and main dishes but no dessert or coffee, since by the end we just wanted to get out into the fresh air.
Everything extremely overpriced, which is likely why they list their full menu online but without prices.
You can see that a great deal of expense went into their website design, their dishware, fishtank and location (high-rent district). No money left for a creative chef & quality ingredients.

Here's just one example: Vietnamese salad consists of ONE typical fresh spring roll, cut into 6 little slices & served VERY fancy on a too-long plate, drizzled with a bit of sauce and a tiny sliver of strawberry on each piece: ten bucks. I normally eat 3 of these as an appetizer at Vietnamese restaurants for about a dollar each.
And these "salad" dishes arrived exactly when the hot, main dishes arrived !

Finally came a spirited & prolonged argument at bill-paying time because of mistake they'd made on bill; followed by an insistent plea from a WAITER about an insufficient tip, just as we were heading out the door. He presented us with a hastily-scribbled paper showing that since the meal was a hundred dollars, the tip needed to be minimum 15%. Incredible cheek !! We laughed about that and the slimy manager's argument all the way back to our car.
Worst restaurant experience in 10 years of living & dining in Mexico City.
