As the name suggested "Bosque de Chapultepec" which means Chapultepec Forest). It is located in the heart of Mexico City. Based on the infromation, it is considered one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere. At the center of the park is the Chapultepec Hill with the Chapultepec (Museum of National History) on top of the hill. The most visited and popular section is section 3 which houses the Zoo and various museum. Again, based on the information) the Park area has been inhabited and considered a landmark since the Pre-Columbian era.
Bosque de Chapultepec ground is the great area to buy "Mexican Souvenirs" if it is your take.
This is an extraordinary park, it is huge, it have wonderful walking paths, water, the trees are magnificent. There is lots to do see, great sculpture. A truly beautiful park.
The Bosque de Chapultepec is a high-quality natural entertainment area in the heart of Mexico City. For those that know Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), it is like "Quinta da Boa Vista". A place with lots of trees and green yards for kids, for picnics and many other outdoor activities. There is a lake with paddle boats, lots of street performers and vendors, a castle ("Castillo de Chapultepec"), open-air sculptures, etc. The place also houses the Botanical Gardens of the city. Highly recommended, especially if with kids! An it is across the street from the Museo Nacional de Antropología, another great attraction of the city!

If you want solitude and a picnic you can find an area for it.
If you want to run or cycle, there is a designated space.
You want culture, visit the castle.
Looking to observe people and family life then head here on a weekend.
Want to take photos of nature, plenty of opportunities.
Just do yourself a favour and don't visit only as a thoroughfare to the museum of anthropology or the castle.
Follow the signposted maps to the totem pole, or the fountains, or if you need to get away from it all head to the auditorium (a quiet zone, where music is played).
I truly believe that there is something for everyone here.

Apparently this is the largest green space in a city in the whole of Latin America! It's pretty commercial with many vendors along all the walkways, but it's also clearly a popular spot for the Mexicans to hang out with their families. There's even a large lake with peddle-boats you can rent!
