“The ruins”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2012 via mobile

These are ruins that have been restored over time. Amazing to see how much history is in this place. If you have time you must come here, it's about $65.00 pesos to get in for non nationals. Thy also charge an additional amount if you are going to use your camera. I didn't pay it and took pictures anyway. I do not think a tour is necessary, they have writings everywhere describing what you are looking at.

“if you have extra time.....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2012

not much is left to see of Tenochtitlan, except for the 2 magnificent sun stones (in the museum). Note that entrance if free on Sun for locals only. Turists still pay....

“Historic place.”

It is interesting to see it, within a walking distance of the main cathedral and the zocalo. Watch your pocket.

“Very interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

That such an important part of the Aztec culture should be so available and so destroyed leaves one with a bittersweet experience. There is so little left of this once huge pyramid that it's difficult to understand how life must have been like when the Spanish arrived and began destroying it, and building the cathedral from the stone so very close by. The museum is large and very good. It's an interesting experience for anyone from a culture which colonized others . . .

“Great place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2012

If you are a turist you will have to pay a fee to get in, but believe me, it is so worth it... This museum has such relevance to the history of Mexico that anyone who is interested in this theme has to visit it!
