I'll begin this review by saying that I love food and I love to try new and different restaurants during our travels. With that being said, I just had a dinner that was second to none at CEDRON in the Condessa area of Mexico City. From being to end, the service, drinks and food were flawless! There were six of us dining and each of us feels the same way about this dining experience. We all ordered different entrees but I will only describe what I ordered. To start I decided on having a red sangria. I am picky about sangria and the flavor was perfect. The staff brought out various breads and dips to accompany the bread. Everything was fresh and delicious. Then the chef sent a complimentary, crisp mixed cucumber salad that was a perfect way to prepare the palate for our main courses. For my main entree I chose Osso Bucco de Ternera (veal) with pasta. The only way to describe it was heavenly! Each and every one of us were raving to each other about how wonderful our individual meals were.
One of our party was celebrating a birthday. So when the time came for dessert, the staff brought us a lovely herbal tea to help clear the palate and then they brought a perfect lava cake for our Birthday girl. We also tried the Creme Brûlée and it was delightful. Then the staff surprised us further by bringing out a sampler dish of petite confections that just blew us away! I think every restaurant should offer a dessert just like this sampler. It was perfect! We hope that the chef and staff at Cedron keep doing what they are doing because this is food done right!
