The hotel has remodeled rooms, good location, comfortable pool, good service of the staff, clean place, service to the room in good weather, food with good taste, with family atmosphere although it was only a short time since I was passing through.

We decided to stay for the weekend on a last minute trip to Cuernavaca. The hotel has potential, the grounds are nice and has two pools but the devil is in the details. The bathrooms are noisy, blow dryers are old and don't work, they don't even have conditioner on their toiletries. The worse for us was the food, its just subpart.
We did find some positives, It's close to the center, although not so close to walk, and the bell boys and concierges were really attentive.
We just expected more from a 4 starts Barcelo hotel.

We reserved 2 rooms one I for a handicap person. I called the hotel ahead of time to make sure we got the room that we requested since they only have one! They assured me there was no problem. When we arrived they have given the room. I asked to be provided with something so my mom which is a person with disabilities and a wheel chair could take a shower, they sent me a bucket which they use to mop the floors with... Of course I couldn't use it. The beds are full size not Queen size so to accommodate 2 people is pretty uncomfortable unless you like to be super close to the other person which I don't. The bathroom had a little bit of mold in the ceiling. The hotel is old and in need of repairs. At least the part of the hotel we stayed at, it seems there is a newer part. The breakfast was buffet and was OK. On a Sunday was packed since the "restaurant" area is very small and don't have enough places for the people are the hotel. It was a nightmare. I won't be going back there.

Really great place, clean, great food, excellent bed comforter,sheets, lots of pillows.. Some trouble with air, but I never asked for help with it. All the staff where very nice and helpful. If you plan on sleeping before 10 pm don't get a room by the pool. I will stay here again in my next visit.

We arrived at the hotel late at night just to find out that our reservation was gone. The person at the desk who didn't knew how to handle the situation at all , apologized for the inconvinience and told us to leave.
At the moment another client was there arguing he was assigned a room that was already occupied.
This was a bummer since we had to look up for another hotel near the area for the night without any reservation

My impressions after this is that a big name like barcelo should look up after this kind of operational mistakes, it is completley unacceptable to deal with this kind of situations .

Overbooking is a highly exceptional situation for Barceló that is prevented by proceeding with a sales stop on all sales channels whenever we reach a certain amount of bookings for a same period, unfortunately it may happen that a booking is made simultanesly and passes through. In these cases, we immediately inform the collaborating travel agents so as to offer an alternative accommodation in the same area and with similar characteristics to ensure our guests can enjoy the holiday they have been looking forward to, striving to minimize the impact on their overall holiday expérience, please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience occured.
