Worst treatment I have experienced on a very long time. I am handicapped, so my husband reserved a room on the pool level. We were promised 2 bedrooms. When we arrived, they offered a room 1/2 way up the mountain, which I cannot climb to. The alternative offered was a room adjacent to a construction area- which they admitted was noisy!

The Embarc was phenominal. We had an awsome room with cool tub, kitchenette, lounge chairs, an outdoor eating area and a large living room that was very Mexican in architecture and motif. While not a total ocean view, the view was terrific and easy access to the golf carts to the pool and beach and walk to the restaurant. all amenities were excellent but the real key were the staff. They could not have been more helpful or friendly, especially Luis and Alfonso at the lobby and David and Procoro at the pool bar. We enjoyed it so much we will return.

Embarc employees go above and beyond to ensure
their guests are comfortable and that all their needs are met. We always feel so welcome, they treat us like family. When we arrive they always say, "welcome home." The hotel sits on a hillside above Playa La Ropa and has beach access. As much as we love this gorgeous place with spacious rooms and fantastic location, it is the wonderful staff here that keeps us coming back every year!!! A winner...hands down!

The staff made this stay memorable, Jocsan, Eloy, David to just name a few. Even though there was renovation right outside our two bedroom villa, it was superceded by the walk out access to the beach and pool. The sandy beach and water and waves were wonderful.

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom, two bath room that had a HUGE patio with an awesome view. Could hear the waves all night. We were there at the end of August so it was warm and humid, but it was not a problem that shade and a cold beer could not handle. There were a lot of mosquitos, but very few tourists so we had the little town to ourselves. Tacos in town were good (8 pesos for a small taco), I had at least ten! The Cantinita just down the beach also had good food and service. Watch out for the sea urchins when snorkeling.
