Great resort. We did the all inclusive and it could not have been better. Quality cocktails. Wonderful dining. Rooms are very spacious and service exceptional. Grounds are beautiful. Pools are joining and very family friendly. Right on the beach. Convenient to the airport.

We just got back from a week long trip over spring break at Velas Vallarta with my wife, two kids, the in-laws, brother-n-law and his girlfriend. The weather was fantastic. Location is great because your literally a 5 minute drive from the airport. The bad part is that planes do fly by every 30 minutes or so during the day. It doesn't bother you because your so busy swimming, drinking, eating, playing in the ocean or involved in any of the multiple activities during the day. The service was excellent. I can't say enough about our waiter by the pool,Tino, bartender Pedro at the pool bar, waiter at Andrea's Adrian, both activities coordinator's as well as all the other staff at Velas Vallarta. Food was good to very good at all the restaurants. The daily taco bar was my favorite. The Cantina in my opinion was our least favorite. The rooms were very large with a kitchen and full bathroom, king bed and two couches. We were on the third floor overlooking the gorgeous ocean. Our room connected to a studio where my in laws stayed. For families this is a great resort. There is so much to do during the day. With a kids club and activities every hour, our kids were never bored. The main reason that I gave the resort a 3 instead of a 5 is because we had an issue with cash missing from our room safe. Our family in the other two rooms were also missing cash from their safe's as well. Around $340 was missing from all three rooms. We spoke with the hotel and they said there is no way the safe's could be tampered with. They even came into our rooms and showed us how it can't be done. We know it sounded impossible to have our safe opened and money taken, even my brother-n-law who has been there many times thought we were crazy until he discovered money was missing from his safe too.The hotel did offer my brother-n-law credit towards his timeshare for his next visit. I truly hope they find the staff member who is responsible because it really soured the awesome time we were having. There is so many great people working there. It made us very paranoid about anyone entering our room and it was hard to relax and enjoy the rest of the trip. Besides the money issue, we did love the hotel as well as Puerto Vallarta. We would like to go back but will not be putting anything in the safe next time.

As director, I am concerned, of course, over your report on the money that went missing from each of your three electronic, safety deposit boxes. I know that my hotel manager, Sr. Lopez, together with my manager of security, Sr. Pérez, had been working closely with all persons in your family to find an answer to your report. For us, it is a situation that is highly unusual having three distinct safety boxes, in three different suites, and all from the same family, report missing valuables. We are, in any case, continuing to investigate all possible scenarios in order to respond to you and your family with a definitive conclusion.
I am glad to know that due to all the positive aspects of your stay, you would like to return with the family in the future. And you can be sure that my management and staff will do all that is possible to ensure that that visit is as pleasant and secure as can be. Thank you.

Room - booked a suite in building 3 , very spacious room with th king bed in bedroom, sofa bed and cot in living area and large kitchen.
We loved being on the second floor with the large balcony for cards and visiting
Pools - perfect temperature for lounging in all day, plenty of room for everyone . Lots of chairs the first half week, by the Thursday before Easter it was packed which meant the 7 am shuffle to reserve your seats. To be expected with a full house .
Food - a la carted was average as was the buffet, we loved the crepe station in the lobby and the taco bar by the pool . Pizzas ordered to our room at midnight and cans of beer not plastic cups of draught were a nice touch. Always something to eat and no one got sick , to me this was a big plus .
Entertainment in the evening was different than your average “ Michael Jackson show “ every other resort in Mexico puts on . While low key we were entertained by the magic show, casino night, karaoke and the movies and bonfire on the beach.
Service staff were always attentive and friendly
Loved the size of the resort for ease of getting around , also enjoyed the family atmosphere .
While I gave it 4 stars I will change to 5 as for the price of our trip and being sold to us as a 4 star it went beyond expectations

We stayed at Velas Vallarta last month for one week. As always, we had a fantastic stay.
The food, drinks, rooms, the views, pools, everything was perfect. And the staff that go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be....a few staff to mention that excel in all that they do are Carlos (pool waiter), Tino (pool waiter), Christian (Activities), Luis (bartender), Gustavo (bartender), Gilberto (pool waiter), Adrian (Andrea restaurant), Alex, Miquel and Cervando (Bell boys)! And many more that I haven't mentioned.
If you are looking for an all-inclusive family resort, l can highly recommend Velas Vallarta.

After many all-inclusive trips to various places in Mexico, our all-inclusive 2 weeks at Velas Vallarta has been our favourite! The staff all go above and beyond to please you and truly exceed your expectations, the food has the most flavour and delicious menus of any place we have stayed at, we were able to change rooms with our request for a different floor level, the servers and staff became like our family, the location of the property is ideal and safe with the golfing and marina within safe walking distance, the tennis pro Luis was wonderful on site. We could go on and on with all the positives of this property. The peacocks that roam the property are so cute to run into randomly here and there. We will certainly be back to this property!
