Spent three weeks at the hotel In January/February 2017. My overall assessment was positive. It is not a luxury property and the atmosphere is, therefore, more relaxed than at a 5-star hotel.
The room was comfortable - fair size, comfy bed, clean, with daily thorough cleaning. I had booked an ocean view room which had access to a balcony with basic furniture.
The major negative which spoiled my stay was the noise during the night. An adjacent property had loud, and I mean really loud, music every night. On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the music started around 10 PM and did not stop until 4 AM. I had to wear ear plugs to alleviate the effect of that infernal sound. I was told that ocean-view rooms were the worst in the hotel but could not obtain a room reassignment in view of the fact I had paid for an ocean-view one.
Turning to the other facilities, they were more than adequate: beach and pool loungers in sufficient numbers, clean and sufficiently large pools. Surprisingly there is no bar, one of the dining room doubles up as a bar.
I had an all-inclusive plan. The food in the main dining room buffet was of very poor quality, as you expect in 3-star Mexican hotels. There were two or three other hotel restaurants that had much better food.
In sum, I would recommend this hotel if you want a good non-luxury hotel and would very strongly advise not booking an ocean-view room if you want to have quiet nights.
