Casa Plascencia is the flagship restaurant of the Plascencia family of restaurateurs in Tijuana. The rustically elegant restaurant serves what it calls “Mexiterranean” cuisine - a fusion of Spanish, Italian, Greek and Arab dishes prepared with Baja ingredients and a Mexican touch. Cachete (beef cheek) tacos are what they're known for and trucha zarendeado - trout butterflied, marinated in ancho chili and grilled over mesquite – shouldn’t be missed.

Been long time waiting to try how good the Plasencia restaurants are.
Very traditional and white table cloth restaurant with good service.
Would recommend the Arroz Negro, very tasty with just a good amount of seafood portion. Its a plate to share. I only tried the gamba shrimp tapa but wasnt as i expected, you smell the herbs more than the feta and shrimp combined. Try something else. Had the arrachera which was just a sliced carna azada. too over prized with frozen french fries and meat was a bit chewy. A bit over priced but its the venue that has an upscale ambience to it.Would recommend for a casual dinner but not a place to eat everyday.

The place is really nice and confortable, service was excellent, very attentive waiters!
The problem I had was that I ordered the prime rib and was expecting to be full after desert. Wrong! I had to order some extra entrees to fill up!
Hoo! And before I forget, don't dare to order the paella, bad choice as it tastes like raw smelly fish. The tacos were good but I must say that are the smallest I have ever seen, 2 inch tacos. Price was not bad for the type of restaurant, hope they stop being so cheap and make fulfilling Mexican Spanish food as it should be.
Desert was really good and served in a normal portion!
