Description: We are a Mexican food Restaurant with inside and outdoor sitting. Enjoy our great specialty's, Mojitos and Margaritas. Don't be scared of our host "The Catrina" she's been here since Cristobal Colon discovered America and came down to Baja California Sur leaving her on the beach while she was collecting some shells.

The place was right next to our hotel and we didn't see anything that was better in the price range. Martin was very persuasive and he delivered. Food was well prepared and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. However when it came time to pay we were informed that the credit machine was down. We had to scrape all our cash together and fortunately we had enough. So before u sit down ask!! Also we were there before 8 pm so we were informed that the bar was not open for a Mexican wine which would have been less money so effectively we were up sold by lack of access.

Catrinas is by far thee best Mexican meals you'll find in La Paz and can hold its' own anywhere. High quality ingredients and a great kitchen crew makes for fine dining at reasonable prices. Matched with good service, a great location a couple of doors from the Bay and the Callejon de La Paz (called Restaurant Plaza on Google Earth) is one of the social centers of the city which attracts more locals than foreigners.
For people watching it makes a great place, particularly in the evenings as La Paz wakes up shortly after 8 PM.
Careful though with its' over a hundred brands of tequila which should satisfy those aficionados of Mexicos' famous beverage. A good selection of wines is on hand and of course the beer flows within a fine dining experience.
As one couple who have been to Mexico several times and around the country recently stated, they had the best food they had had in Mexico. No doubt they have also given a review.
Great place and a for sure don't miss if in La Paz.

We have had the pleasure to eat at Catrinas in La Paz. The service provided by Martin has been spectacular. He attends to any need any of the guests have. The food has been stellar I highly recommend the"mochahetes" it is one of their specialties. Anyone is welcomed like an old time customer.

No one likes being badgered a la TJ or Cabo when they walk down the street in Mexico, and you don't really expect it in La Paz, but our waiter here, Luis, was fairly forceful in suggesting this place to us. Since we intended to eat anyway, we gave it a shot and it turned out to be a good decision. My chicken enchiladas were stuffed with white meat cooked to perfection, but my fiancee's dish, the Catrina Tostadelleria (that's only an approximate spelling) made with verde sauce and strips of arrachera steak between two tortillas was even better. Another good example of how it's really tough to find a bad meal in La Paz.
