This beach is pretty amazing totally chill, guys selling hats and food kids playing nobody acting stupid the clearest calmest water I've ever seen white sand, slight drive to get to but no big deal. I'd give it 5 stars but at the end of the day it still just a beach.

This is a must while visiting La Paz. The bays are full of colors and life. The parking lot leads to one of the bays that most of the people go to. I would recommend going over the small hill and go to the other bay. Bring snorkel gear, umbrella and environmentally safe sunscreen. They have a small snack shop and a guy with coconuts for sale. You can rent a umbrella on the beach for 200 pesos for the day. This bay has a lot of people were you can rent kayaks or walk 500 plus feet in waste high water depending on the tide. If you want a view from above to see both bays, you can go up a small hill that will lead you to a path that leads you to the point. You can see this path from the parking lot. Enjoy!!!

Great beach for kids, a few vendors with umbrellas, etc. Make sure your trip does not coincide with a ferry departure - took us more than 1hr from La Paz due to ferry traffic. Our toddler loved the water, but I have never seen so many wasps in one place.

Driving from las Cabos to la Paz is scenic and interesting drive on mostly well-paved divided Hwy. The malecon walk and drive thru the centro area are the main attractions of the town. The Balandra Beach is not worth spending time to drive. Contrary to our expectation that the beach would be right on the ocean, rather it s enclosed on three sides with little mountains and an inlet for sea water from the fourth side. Nothing extraordinary of its being with shallow water and smooth off-white sands. A couple of food trucks are there to sell snacks, cold drinks and fresh coconuts slit open for sweet water. For a day trip to la Paz it is not worth going to Balandra, rather enjoy the town and plenty of restaurants on the Malecon.

The beach is beautiful but full of algae. There is a lot of people and a lot of noise and music. The parking is just next to the beach which is very ugly. You can climb the mountains and walk all the beach across.

The water is crystal clear and you can walk around the cove as the water is chest high at the deepest point. There are 2 coves to explore. Kayak & SUP boards available to rent. I would bring a float, sunscreen, a small cooler, and sun umbrella. Uber is available and very reasonable may cost you only $8-$10 one way from La paz. Do not miss this beach! It is a very memorable lifetime experience of breathtaking beauty & fun.

If you are visiting, you can rent an umbrella, chair and get food and drink at the beach. Of course, you can always bring your own. Not much for snorkeling, but it is a relaxing spot to soak up some sand. There is a public bathroom there as well.

As part of our tour with VIP tours, Captain Eddy and guide Katrin prepared a great lunch on the beach. We'l come back on our own as it is an easy drive from La Paz.

We decided to head to Balandra after visiting La Ventana and the area (actually we did a big loop from El Triunfo, up to La Ventana and then to Balandra Beach which was a nice way to spend a day). There were still a lot of people at the beach and in the water which looked as if it was quite shallow for quite a ways out. We arrived for the sunset so that was about 630pm. What I didn't get to see because I arrived so late, was the beautiful blue of the water. It looks incredible. Lots of parking at this time and the sunset was pretty. I think I'd come back again during the day to experience it more.
