I knew what we were about to see, but didn’t tell my husband. Upon arrival, he kept giggling, especially when I went over and hugged the big one.

We visited the Phra Nang Cave as part of the 4 island tour from Krabi. This was the first stop. The water here was clean & pristine. The caves are beneath a rocky mountain & a good place for someone interested in rock climbing. The caves also house a temple dedicated to fertility. A different experience as compared to the other caves we have been to.

Beaches are abundant around Krabi. Whether you go to one of the islands or just stay in the Ao Nang area. However, we don’t know of any other “cave beach” that is so easily accessible as Phra Nang Cave Beach. As the title suggests, essentially it is a beach right on/next to a cave formation and associated cliff wall. It is just a fantastic sight in our opinion.
It is stated that it does get busy and a bit crowded, but we went around 5 PM and there was plenty of space. It was really quite pleasant. The other reason one might go is because of the “Princess Cave”. In here, fishermen and other locals offered all kinds of phallic shapes so that their swimmers are granted good fertility. Thus making it another interesting sight, recommended to be checked out.
Just come and enjoy, it is not far from Railey beach, so don’t be lazy :)

If you are on the other side of the island( Railay bay ) walk down the path to the other side,Turn right, follow the path right to the end past the Hotel looks as if you are going under the rocks, follow the path round between the hotel and the rocks, there are some very interesting rock formations. you pop out at the beach, over in the far left hand side there is a cave with all these carvings in, some people we praying when i arrived so i left the alone but the cave is for fertility. So it was strange to see the Items on display. but different to see. kids were they looking at them and parents explaining to them what they are. Its a cave an interesting cave.

This cave was the final and my favorite stop on the 4 Island Tour. It’s a fun little cave to climb and explore. There are some great view points and photo ops in this open air cave. I’d love to do some lead climbing here some day.
