We (2 families with children) checked into holiday inn after a 3 day stay at le meridien Phuket.
Pros -The hotel is location is great- right across the beach even though it’s not a beach resort. Kids pool is great with slides and chutes. Adults pool is also good with a pool bar which we used very often. Rooms are spacious and king bedrooms (not the ones that have twin beds )have a large cot to accommodate an adult. Hotel is close to the pier for phi phi departures and around 45 mins to krabi airport .

Cons- hotel check in is time consuming. Front desk team does not understand English very well. Hospitality is just average in the hotel ( in fact it’s the same across Thailand- possibly why Thai tourism is on the decline ). Tipping is expected and locals get disappointed or angry if not tipped adequately . I was particularly annoyed with the travel desk at the hotel which was not honest and opportunist under the guise of hotel policy

Bottom line- I have stayed in a lot of holiday inns in India and their hospitality is amazing. I was looking for the same experience @ holiday inn Resort krabi - but I was thoroughly disappointed.

Very nice place to stay. Staff are polite and helpful and always smiling. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and relaxing. The pool is great for a swim in the heat and the breakfasts hit the spot.

Hotel very clean, staff helpfull, good location just close to the beach of Nopparat Thara wher eyou can take long tail boats all the day to visit islands. It's very near to Ao Nang but much quieter. You have also a good choice of bars and restaurants. It was law season, so the hotel wasn't full so very lovely. We had an upgrade on the best side (swimming pool), the only thing I regret is that you don't have chairs on the terrace! I will definately come back

Room tip: Don't take garden's view rooms, they are very dark

Omg, it is one of the best hotels we stayed in when we were on our trip to Thailand. Staff was attentive, the rooms are well kept and spacious. Hotel grounds are well managed. Unfortunately, it rained when were there so we were in the hotel the whole time. We loved the breakfast at the hotel. It was a very good spread. We went to their sister resort for a massage and it was lovely. We wish it wasn't raining. Will definitely come back.

We initially booked here for 6 days extending it to 9. We stayed 1 night in the holiday inn next door, after a horror booking at another hotel.

Can’t compliment this hotel enough. The staff, reception/front of house, housekeeping, catering, gate security, grounds keepers and other general staff were all exceptional and a real credit to the holiday inn express group. They were always ready and willing to help and nothing was too much trouble.

Rooms were comfortable and kept beautifully and we witnessed continued maintenance throughout. The gardens were kept immaculate and well cared for. This resonates with every aspect of the hotel.

Breakfast was varied and something could always tempt you.

The pool was large and well kept. And towels always available. There is also a gym which is adequately equipped.

Would highly recommend a stay here!
