“A Wonderful Find – Wouldn’t hesitate to go back!”
Reviewed 30 August 2011

Requiring somewhere to stay for an overnight stop on route from Bristol to Hull my Husband and I plus 2 other couples booked into The Loudor. We were very pleased with finding this little gem and easy to find Guest House, where parking was no problem!
On booking, the only rooms available were a twin, a double and a family room, however, the price was very fair and Lincoln was the perfect location for us to stop. So when booking the 3 rooms we mentioned we would have preferred all double rooms. On arrival we discover the twin had been zipped up to make a double and we all ended up with perfect rooms, which were very clean and very well equipped. The price included an English breakfast and we were not disappointed – all served with the friendliness and humour of the proprietor who enjoyed a little banter!
The Loudor was a short stroll to a large friendly pub and within easy reach of local shops. I would recommend staying there and wouldn’t hesitate to go back if ever I needed a comfy bed for the night in Lincoln!

As soon as you open the door and are met by the owners MIke and Jo, you're made to feel welcome and at home. I'd booked numerous rooms for the family because my brother was getting married and he couldn't accommodate the family. All our rooms were clean and comfortable. My neices room was the only one that had recently been refurbished (very tastefully too) but the other rooms are fine. Tea an coffee making facilities and little jar of biscuits were a great touch. As we were travelling with our 19month old baby we couldn't all meet in the pub, so we stayed in, in the evening and used the communal lounge. It had been refurbished to a high standard and also had a little fridge, which was great to keep our drinks cold. Mike had no problem with us taking over the lounge all evening and told us to make ourselves feel at home. Also in the Lounge was an extensive library with all sorts of books, from children's to adults and maps and touristy things. In the fridge was fresh milk that you could take to your room for use in your tea/coffee. Another great little touch.
We had to order our breakfast the night before, which we all thought was a great idea and
Mike very thoughtfully set up one large table so we could all eat together. Breaky was lovely, cooked by Jo and served by MIke. A great start to the day.
All in all a fab little find and I would certainly recommend anybody to stay there.

Easy to find on the way to Lincoln on the A46, this well run establishment was a pleasure to stay at, The hotel is set back from the main road so the rooms are quiet, even at the front where our room was. Make your choice of Breakfast the night before using Mick's unique menu system, it is perfectly cooked by Jo, and complimented by choice of cereal, fruit juice and toast etc.
Mick has a great sense of humour, nothing is too much trouble for him.
The car park is ample and easy to get into. The hotel is well served by local eating places, our favourite being the Centurion pub, a few minutes drive away. We will certainly stay in this comfortable hotel again, Thanks Mick and Jo

We found this marvellous little gem by browsing the internet for a bed and breakfast near to visiting our son who is an undergraduate at Lincoln University. What a find it is!
Spacious room and en suite, very comfortable and a great breakfast.
There is a lovely comfortable sitting room with lots of books and magazines and brochures. Excellent parking.
Nothing is too much bother for the owners who are friendly and helpful.
15 minutes drive from the centre of Lincoln and great bus routes outside.
An absolute bargain at £55 for two.
Will we return? You bet we will!

We had a 3 night stay here in July....great place...large airy rooms...biggest bathroom we have had in a B & B!!!! spotlessly clean..and nothing was too much trouble for Jo and Mike the owners. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked. Very easy to get into Lincoln from here, either by car or bus....and opposite a parade of useful shops and restaurants and take aways!! Will be going back there next time we are in the Lincoln area. Thank you both for a very warm welcome.
