Location is good, is located at Taman rata and can be accessible by car. It's walking distance to all amenities, and restaurant.

There's parking for patron also which is good. Complimentary coffee and tea also for everyone anytime.

The room is spacious, bed is just okay, blanket is not warm enough, it gets pretty cold at night. There's a fan in the room. No air-conditioning. The water heater is adjusted to one level of heat (medium), theres no way adjust the temperature. The only way is to adjust the water pressure to get the right temperature. There no shower head holder for the shower, so which is pretty sad.

The outdoor seating and the living room seating is alot but there's a curfew on the lights and notice which was given only until 7:30pm. Which is not really good for young adults to enjoy.

Jacky at the front desk was great! Very friendly and very helpful. He gave us lots of information for things to do around the area - both free and paid options. Great free coffee. Good location. Good price.
Everything was damp and there was a bit of mould in the room. This is probably an issue for most places as it rain so there every day.

The owner was verry friendly, just check the information a second time. Because it isn't always right. For the rest room (private room) was basic, we payed 70RM each night. You can have a bed in a shared room to who is cheaper. There is no breakfast but you can use the kitchen. He will offer you to book the busticket by him, then he will try to get the best place for you. He will charge you 35RM, if you book at the ticket office it will be 32RM.

We have been travelling for nine months, four in Asia, and Eight Mentigi was the worst accommodation we've had in this price range. The walls were paper thin (especially problematic when large families are permitted to rent single rooms), cleanliness is questionable (there were bugs and worms in the bathroom), the toilet leaked every time it was flushed and the premises were smokey. There are plenty of other guest houses nearby, keep looking!

One positive note - Jackie was very kind and good to our kids.

We were nicely welcomed and given a choice of rooms. Found the place clean, no bed bugs as previously stated. 24 hour coffee and tea. Quiet atmosphere in the evenings. Owner will book your bus to leave for you so you don't have to go to the bus station. Lots of information on sites, trails, etc. Short walk to "downtown " shops and eateries.
I'd stay here again.
